Eric's Nano Reef Page
This is my 26 Gallon Bow front Nano Reef. The flash from the camera does not do all the colors justice, but at lest you can tell what it looks like fairly well.  The reef contains, 1 Blue Devil Damsel Female, 1 Black Molly, 1 Green Mandarinfish, 1 True Percula, 2 Small collonies of button polyps, one red bali starfish (algae and clam eater, yes I have seen it eat algae amazingly), and one bubble tip anenome. The tank also contains many snails and hermit crabs.  I also have a small horeshoe crab which is a plus for cleaning, but is  the dumbest thing on earth- besides one dog that lives near me.  There is 35 pounds of fiji live rock.  I am soon to add a  royal gramma and some mushroom corals.  One should also be careful when buying a mandarinfish because of their food requirments.  I feed mine live zooplankton, phytoplankton, minced krill, and mysis shrimp.  Always ask to see a mandarinfish fed before purchasing, many will not eat.  I feed my anenome small amounts of clam every day, I also give him krill. Lighting is a double strip light with one full spectrum and one 10000k bulb.  I have read all the articles on anenome lighting/feeding, and believe my method is working, mostly because the anenome retains good color, grows constantly, and does not move. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Great NEWS, The Clown joined the anenome in just 4 days! You can contact me at [email protected] for questions/comments.
