We will continue to meet the first Thursday of the Month.  Next meeting APRIL 7th @ 7:30 PM

March's meeting was a quick one.  We finally had some good snow out on the trails so no one wanted to sit and talk, we all wanted to get out and ride!!!

The hard work that was put into the benefit ride for Children's Miracle Network really paid off.  We had over 100 registrations turned in and the turn out for the pig roast looked to be doubled from what we did last year.
A great time and ride was had by all.

Other topics of business included talk about the riding season coming to a close.  This means making sure that all trail work reports and expense reciepts are turned in by April's meeting.

The Track Truck has been doing a great job in keeping the trails in good riding condition when we have the snow to actually groom.

The EZ Riders Applied for a NYS Grant to aide in the purchase of additional grooming equipment for the 2006 riding season.  The results of the grant awards will not be available until mid June 2005.
The EZ riders have submitted an application for $26,000 to purchase new grooming equipment. If awarded the club would recive (2) new Skidoo Skandics and (2) Mogal Master Drags. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Yield to Groomers
Its important to remember that many of the grooming rigs running on our trails are utility snowmobiles pulling drags to keep trails smooth.  Watch for flashing lights and yield to your fellow riders, playing
chicken with oncoming sleds could cause one of our groomers to stop and result in getting stuck.
Then after you pass the grooming rigs show respect and dont rip up the trail its frustrating to our volunteers.  With heavy snow and traffic ride easy on railroad beds to preserve grooming efforts.

Help with Hazards
If you have an accident or mishap on the trail be sure to correct the area providing safe riding for others.   Leaving a broken railing behind on a bridge or knocking over a trail sign leaves a hazard on the trail.  You dont need to have written permission to help improve trail conditions.  Be sure to record your efforts improving trails and submit time, persons and place of improvement to your club officers for grant credit.
