Like the days when we thought

That our love would never last

That we could not cross the line

Between what we were and what we are now

We thought it was thick and black and full of flames

But we managed to cross it somehow

And now yesterday is in the past.

Today is in the here and now

Like my love for you

When all questions, like why and how

Somehow don't seem to matter

Where time goes on forever

And stretches out into eternity

When you and I are together

But soon today will be in the past.

 

Tomorrow is in the distance

And like the throw of a dice

Its left up to chance

But I know our love is for always
