Teardrops Fall Like Rain

 

Teardrops falling

Slowly, softly

I hardly know they’re there

You lightly brush them away

With one gentle touch

 

Rain pounding down

All around us

As we say goodbye

One last time

 

 

Its like the heavens

Are crying for you too

They want you to be

Returned to them

But I need you here

 

The rain mingles

With teardrops on my face

The tears of the sky

And my tears

Fall together

And teardrops fall like rain
