Silent Screams

 

The wailing echoing

Around my mind

I can’t escape

From its mournfull sound

That no-one else can hear

 

The silent screams

Of a dying soul

As it struggles

To be heard

But I stiffle it

 

A child’s crying

Fills my mind

The unwept tears

Drowning me

Drowning in sadness

 

But the silent screams

Are the worst of all

I don’t remember

when they began

I can’t wait till they are real

 

No more silent screams

My voice screams out

My mind can’t take any more

The pain is real
