Some say silence is golden

I can’t believe that’s true

If you’d heard true silence

Neither would you

 

In the quiet and dark

When I’m in bed alone

No sound to be heard

Feel the shivers down your spine

As it possesses your soul

Like it stole mine

 

 Silence, late at night

When the monsters all come out

The terrors of childhood

That you forgot about

 

So silence is not golden

It’s a terrifing revelation

For its eternal damnation
