She Stares

She stares

Big brown eyes unblinking

Staring at nothing

Staring so hard she stops seeing

And yet she sees so much.

She stares

Seeing more than they will ever see

Watching the world go by

Without her

Watching from the outside.

She stares

They laugh at her

Wondering why she stares so much

Not knowing that she doesn't care

For she is far above them

In a place all on her own

Lost inside her imagination

Staring, blocking out the world

And so she stares.
