She Stands
Alone
She stands alone
Tears falling down her cheeks
Her eyes dull
From the pain of the weeks
Her heart broken
Her dreams turned to dust
She asks herself if she really has to
But inside she knows she must.
Looking up she sees him
She wipes her eyes
And hides her face
So he can't see her cry
He wouldn't understand
Never in a million years
All the hurt and all the pain
All her fears.
Slowly he aproaches
He takes her in his arms
And holds her close
She knows she won't come to harm
He holds her till she's doen
Pressed tight against his chest
Then he lets her go
Like a bird flying the nest.
