Screaming In A Crowd

 

Lost in the crowd of people

Nobody seems to notice

As she looks wildly round

Where are her friends?

They can’t have left her

But she can’t find them now

 

The crowd surges past her

None of them notice

As she slowly sinks to the floor

She’s crying, screaming

But they can’t see her tears

Or hear her dying soul

 

They don’t care about her

As she reaches out

Hopefully touching their hands

They push her away

She means nothing to them

Not one of them knows her name

 

She stands and screams

They all back away

She’s scaring them now

They think she’s crazy

Right now she thinks so too

All she can do is scream
