Odd One Out

Laughing nercously along with the others
Though she doesn't get the joke
Biting her lip, holding back her words
Unsure if the others will agree
When asked a question, she waits
Letting them speak first
Staying silent unless they notice
Afraid of saying the wrong thing
Afraid they'll laugh at her, judge her
Afraid that she's not like them
She doesn't know how to act
How to fit in with the crowd
Always standing at the edge of the group
Always sitting hidden away in the corner
Hopeing someone, anyonw will notice her
Proaying to stay hidden forever
Looking back, she knows its true
knows the ones who whisper about her
Do not lie, there's no need to
The truth is more painful than any lie
What is the truth?
What do they know, but not her?
She wants to ask them why
But she's afraid of the answer.
