Why are you looking at me like that?

Have you never seen a loner before?

Never seen the anguished look in the eyes?

Never felt the panicked touch

Of someone terrified you’ll leave?

 

Why do you edge away like that?

Are you afraid of ending up like me?

Don’t you want this look in your eyes?

The look that begs for love

Why do tears spring to your eyes?

And why do you blink them away?
