I’m Terrified

 

I’m terrified

I don’t want to do this

But I know I must

I know it won’t last long

And its not the fear of pain

That makes my heart

Race in my chest

Its wondering what if

What if it doesn’t work?

How do I explain this

To all the people

That I want to leave behind?

How can I look

Into their eyes again

And see the pain I’ve caused?
