After The Crisis

 

(A/N: The first and third stanza are one person, the second and fourth are a different person)

 

-         You didn’t believe me

I poured my heart out to you

And you didn’t listen

You knew how hard it was

For me to tell you at all

But you didn’t take me seriously

 

-         I didn’t think you meant it

I thought you were overreacting

I tried to help you

But I didn’t know what to say

I never thought you’d do it

It couldn’t happen to you

 

-         I trusted you with everything

My deepest, darkest secrets

You pushed them out of your mind

Is it to hard for you to see

Your friend feeling like this?

So you turn away, its easier, is that it?

 

-         I never meant to turn away

You’re secrets plague me all the time

What should I have done?

Why didn’t I know?

Why couldn’t I see?

Why did you leave it too late?
