[I should probably tell you that this is the eight part in a series. It
usually helps to read the first seven parts or this will seem like a really
stupid, plotless story that would never happen on a Friends episode. So, go
ahead and check out the other seven Months After London fics and *then* read
this one.]

"How can you be getting married?" Ross asked, trying to comprehend the news
Monica and Chandler had just shared with the gang. "You've only been dating
for, what, three months?"

"Well, yeah," Monica said, shrugging. "But we've known each other for, like,
eleven years."

"I'm sorry if I seem a little weirded out, but we just found out about you
two *three days ago*," Ross said, his voice starting to get high like it
does when he's mad.

"Aren't you happy for them?" Rachel asked and poked Ross really hard in the
side.

"Of course I'm happy for you," Ross snapped. "But you seem to be moving way
too fast."

Monica and Chandler looked at each other. "Yeah, it doesn't seem too fast to
me," Chandler said when they both looked away and towards Ross again. "And
you can trust me to sense when something is moving too fast."

"Ross, honey, this is something that we both want to do," Monica said,
taking her brother's hand in both of hers. "We're in love and we're going to
have a bab--"

"Because of a drunken mistake," Ross interrupted.

Monica rolled her eyes and hit Ross on the back of the head. "Shut up and be
happy," she commanded in a no-nonesense voice.

"I am happy," Ross said.

"You certainly have a strange way of expressing it," Chandler commented.

Ross pointed a menacing finger at Chandler. "If you *ever* hurt my baby
sister I will hunt you down and kick your ass!"

Chandler did one of his 'whoa! what a loser' looks.

"Can we see the ring again?" Rachel asked Monica a little later.

Monica couldn't help smiling as she held her hand out for Rachel and Phoebe
to inspect for the thousandth time. They both gasped as they did the other
times Monica showed it to them and Monica's smile grew wider.

"I can't believe you're getting married," Rachel squealed.

"And to Chandler of all people!" Phoebe added.

Monica pulled her two best friends into a hug where all three were getting a
little teary eyed.

"And I'm going to have a baby in three months," Monica said, looking down at
her rounded stomach. "You know what I haven't said out loud yet to you?"

"What?"

"I'm in love with Chandler." Monica got a look of emotion on her face and
she stood up to say even louder: "I'm in love with Chandler Bing and he loves
me too."

"That's right," Chandler said from his spot at the kitchen table where he and
the guys were sitting and talking.

Monica walked to his side and kissed him fervently. She let him go with a
big 'mwa' sound. "I love you."

"I love you," Chandler replied back. He smiled at her and they kissed again.

"Oooh! I can't wait to tell everybody that I know. Wait till my mom finds
out -- she'll be even more ecstatic than I am."

"Is that really possible?" Phoebe asked.

"No," Monica admitted. She kissed Chandler again. "I think I'm actually
happier than I've ever been in my whole life."

"Ditto," Chandler said.

"Aw . . ." Monica kissed him yet again.

"Is anybody else getting sick?" Ross asked.

"Oh . . . I think it's cute," Rachel said, getting up from the couch to
stand by Ross. "You just don't have any sense of romanticism. If you had
your way Chandler would be bedding a Xerox girl Monica cried about her fat
ankles."

Ross got one of his 'hey, you just insulted me' looks and shoved Rachel's
hand off of his shoulder.

"When's the wedding going to be?" Rachel asked.

"Well, we just got engaged last night and we really haven't--" Chandler
started to explain.

Monica interrupted him: "After the baby is born, obviously. I've already got
a guest list written out, but it's just a rough draft. Do you girls want to
help me look over it? I'm thinking it should be about two months after our
baby is born, don't you think so? That way I have enough time to burn off all
this fat and have enough time to plan the wedding. But it can't be too long
afterwards because Chandler and I agreed not to have sex until the honeymoon
to make it romantic and I don't think I could go for more than two and half
months sleeping in the same bed with him without jumping his bones."

"Hey!" Ross said, covering his ears. "Too much info, Mon."

Chandler was smiling, though, at the obvious compliment. "So, you're saying,
that you can't resist me?"

Monica wrapped her arms around her future husband's neck and kissed him long,
hard, and deep; ending the kiss by biting his bottom lip -- which he loved.
"That answer your question, sweetie?"

Chandler nodded, breathing hard. "I might need a little more convincing
though. That okay with you?"

"Have you decided on names yet?" Rachel asked a week later when just the
girls were sipping drinks at Monica's kitchen table. The gang had refrained
from hanging out at the coffee house since it was making Monica sit around
everything she loved but couldn't have, so most of their time was spent in
Monica and Chandler's apartment.

"As a matter of fact, yes," Monica said. Rachel and Phoebe got eager looks
on their faces and Monica paused for dramatic effect. "If it's a boy, we're
going to name it Matt. If it's a girl . . . we're going to name it Emma."

"Oh!" Rachel and Phoebe both squealed in delight -- something they were doing
quite often with all of Monica and Chandler's news. [Remember Rachel's friends
from TOW The Flashback . . .?]

"Those have got to be the most perfect names *ever*," Rachel said after the
three finished their millionth group hug of that week.

"I know!" Monica said in her classic Monica way.

"What are you hoping for?" Phoebe asked.

"Do you even have to ask?" Monica scoffed. "A girl. That way I can put her in
little dresses and do her hair in pigtails when she's older. Besides,
Chandler and I have agreed that we'll have our boy in another two years or
so."

"You've talked about having more kids?" Phoebe asked disbelievingly as
Rachel's jaw dropped. "You and *Chandler*."

"Uh-huh," Monica said, looking like she couldn't understand why Rachel and
Phoebe were shocked. "Every night when we're going to bed we start discussing
baby things and our future."

"I'm sorry, honey, but this is all just a little hard to take," Rachel said,
stopping Monica from continuing. "I mean, we've known Chandler for quite
awhile and the Chandler you keep talking about doesn't seem real."

"He doesn't act like himself around me," Monica explained. "Ever since we
started to officially date he's been so different . . . almost romantic. And
he hasn't had a commitment-freak out . . . except for that 'I love you'
thing, but it ended quite well, don't you think?"

"Obviously," Rachel said quickly.

"So, what kind of future do you have?" Phoebe asked.

"We're going to get married in about five or six months and when little Emma
or Matthew is one and a half, two years old we're going to start trying for
a second baby. And in another couple of years we're going to have another
baby. Then we're going to raise our kids. We've decided to stay in New York
until our first child starts preschool. We really don't want to leave,
but the school system around here is terrible. So we want to move to a small,
quiet town with excellent schools and friendly neighbors . . ." Monica
trailed off her little speech with a whistful smile. "I love him so much."

"You must," Rachel decided. "I've never seen either of you as happy as you
have been lately."

"And to think Chandler is planning his future with a wife and kids," Phoebe
said.

"You keep saying that," Monica observed.

"What? It's true," Phoebe said defensively.

[Yes, I know that it was cruel of me to make this so short, but the story
ended here. I couldn't think of where to go on without droning on with
boring, pointless, plotless dialogue . . . in fact, I'm pretty sure that
that's what this whole fic here is. Definately my least favorite out of all
the Months After London series, but it's the stepping stone to the next
part. Which, surprise, surprise, I have planned out and -- get this -- it'll
come packaged with *plot*. (I hope.) Kidding, kidding . . . Anyways, just to
let you know that I'm back on this series. And that I have the next part
planned out. And I *finally* picked out names for the baby! Yay!

And before I forget, a special thanks to Mountain Dew Code Red for keeping
me awake at all hours of the night so that I may get these fics written.
