ROSS
& RACHEL’S FLAT (The Geller family is present. It’s 6:00 am on Monday morning)
Ross: What the hell did you wake me up for? Caitlin and Keeley aren’t going to be up for
another hour.
Rachel: I woke you up so you could make love to
me.
Ross: As I recall I wanted to make love to you
last night and you told me no, you were too tired.
Rachel: That was then, this is now.
Ross: But now I’m the one who is too tired. Leave me alone.
Rachel: Come on, just lie on your back and let me do
my thing.
Ross: I will not be your personal toy Rachel. You refused me last night and now I’m
refusing you.
Rachel: So this is only payback and nothing
else.
Ross: If you want to call it that then yeah,
consider it payback.
Rachel: And you’re positive you want to play this
game?
Ross: Huh?
Rachel: I’m just saying that I can go a lot longer
without sex than you can. Hell, I could
go weeks before the thought of masturbating would even enter my mind. You, you’d be lucky to last the week. Then you’d be jerking off in the bathroom
like there’s no tomorrow and wishing that you didn’t start this little sexual
game.
Ross: I will not be blackmailed into making love
to you Rachel.
Rachel: I’m not trying to blackmail you honey, I’m
just stating what’s going to happen if you don’t make love to me this
morning.
Ross
(after a long pause): You’re such a
conniving little bitch sometimes you know that?
Rachel: I love you too honey. Now hurry up and get naked because I only
have 30 minutes and then I have to get ready for work.
BRAD
& JENNIFER’S RESIDENCE (The Pitt family is present. Jennifer and Brad are just waking up)
Jennifer: Good morning.
Brad: Hey, I missed you.
Jennifer: You better have.
Brad: How are the kids?
Jennifer: A handful.
(pause) I know you just got in
last night but I need to head out to the Hamptons for a day to be by myself. You know, a day to unwind from having the
kids for the past six weeks.
Brad: It was that bad?
Jennifer: No, just having them all to myself can be a
little overwhelming after six weeks.
Brad: Yeah, you might as well go out there. We never use the place anymore.
Jennifer: We’re not selling it.
Brad: I didn’t come home to fight with you. I never said I wanted to sell it.
Jennifer: See, see how grouchy I am? A 4 and 2 year old will do that to you after
six weeks.
Brad: Before you go I need to run an errand. Is that ok?
Jennifer: Yeah, what do you have to do?
Brad: I just forgot to pick something up on the
way home from the airport last night.
I’ll only be gone for a half hour.
Jennifer: A present for me?
Brad: Maybe.
Jennifer: What is it?
Brad: It’s a surprise.
Jennifer: Oh, I love surprises. Go now.
Brad: Hold on a second there missy. There’s still something that we need to
discuss.
Jennifer: Oh?
What’s that?
Brad: This little incident with Mr. Geller that
hit every major newspaper in the United States and Canada.
Jennifer: What about it?
Brad: You let him dangle all day instead of
nipping it in the bud right away and I want to know why.
Jennifer: I wanted Ross to have his 15 minutes of
fame.
Brad: And the real reason?
Jennifer: I couldn’t get a hold of our spokeswoman
right away. We really need to fire
her.
Brad:
Now why are you lying to me? I
spoke with Michelle and she said she didn’t hear from you until mid-afternoon.
Jennifer: See, there’s a reason to fire her right
there. She ratted me out.
Brad: The real reason is that you just wanted to
have a little fun at Ross’ expense.
Jennifer: Ok, ok, ok, I was bored.
Brad: And you knew kissing him in public would hit
the papers faster than shit hits the toilet water.
Jennifer: Lovely comparison.
Brad: Did you at least apologize to him?
Jennifer: For what?
Brad: For setting him up.
Jennifer: I have to apologize for that even if he
doesn’t even realize that he was set up?
Brad: Yes!
Jennifer: Fine, I’ll call him this morning. (Brad moves on top of Jennifer) What are you doing?
Brad: I haven’t seen the love of my life in six
weeks and you ask me what I’m doing?
What does it look like I’m doing?
Jennifer: Well you better get your fat ass off me this
instant because we’re not having sex this morning.
Brad: What?
Why not?
Jennifer: Because you’re making me apologize to
Ross.
Brad: Oh.
Then fuck Ross.
Jennifer: I did.
Brad: What!
Jennifer: Just kidding. Seriously, it’s being with the kids that’s causing me to act
out.
ROSS
& RACHEL’S FLAT (Ross, Caitlin and Keeley are present)
Keeley: Dada?
Ross: Yeah?
Keeley: Water please.
Ross: I just gave you water Keeley. Where’d you put your sippy cup?
Keeley: Somewhere.
Ross: Thank you for narrowing that down for
me. Caitlin, where’s your sister’s
sippy cup?
Caitlin: Directly behind her on the floor.
Ross
(moving around Keeley and picking up the cup):
Thank you sweetie. Here’s your
water Keeley. Don’t lose it now.
Keeley: Thank you.
Ross: You’re welcome. (the phone rings) Hello?
Jennifer
(from her residence): Hey you big
stud.
Ross: Rachel?
Jennifer: Now would Rachel ever say that to you
stupid?
Ross: If you’re gonna be a bitch about it Jennifer
I’m just gonna hang up the phone.
Jennifer: How are you?
Ross: Good.
And you?
Jennifer: Just waiting for Brad to get back and then
I’m heading out to our place in the Hamptons.
Ross: Nice.
Brad going with you?
Jennifer: No.
Ross: Can I go with you?
Jennifer: Don’t you think we’ve given the papers
enough gossip for a month?
Ross: Good point.
Jennifer: About that.
I was calling to apologize for setting you up.
Ross: Huh?
Jennifer: I set you up Ross. I’m sorry I was bored.
Ross: You mean to tell me you did that to me on
purpose?
Jennifer: Guilty.
Ross: You bitch!
Keeley: Bitch.
Ross: No Keeley, don’t say that word. It’s a bad word.
Caitlin: But you said it.
Ross: Caitlin, don’t talk like that to your
father. (to Jennifer) Sorry.
Jennifer: That’s what happens when you swear around
little kids. Look, I’m really
sorry. It wasn’t a nice thing to do.
Ross: I wouldn’t go that far. I was in the papers and linked to a movie
star. That doesn’t happen to most
people everyday.
Jennifer: So we’re cool?
Ross: Oh no, I’ll definitely pay you back. You can count on it.
Jennifer: Ok.
Give my regards to your lovely wife.
I gotta go, there’s someone at my door.
Ross: Ok, talk to you later.
BRAD
& JENNIFER’S RESIDENCE (Jennifer and her children are present. Courteney and Colin are playing in
Courteney’s room. The doorbell rings
and Jennifer answers it. It’s a man)
Jennifer: May I help you?
Man: Are you Jennifer Aniston?
Jennifer: Yes.
And you are?
Man: My name is Special Agent Mike Gallego with
the Drug Enforcement Agency. May I have
a word with you please?
Jennifer: Um sure.
Come on in. Please, sit
down. Can I get you anything?
Mr.
Gallego: I’m fine thank you.
(Jennifer
sits down across from Mr. Gallego)
Jennifer: What’s this all about?
Mr.
Gallego: Are you an acquaintance of Mr.
David Arquette?
Jennifer: Yes.
We’re good friends in fact.
Mr.
Gallego: Were you aware that Mr.
Arquette is being investigated for drug trafficking?
Jennifer: No.
That doesn’t sound like David at all.
I still don’t understand why you here interviewing me.
Mr.
Gallego: Within the past month Ms.
Aniston there have been over $4 million in wire transfers which have been
transferred in and out of your bank account at Bank of America. A trace of the wires shows the money came in
from an offshore bank located in the Cayman Islands, went through your account,
and then was wired to an account owned by Mr. Arquette. Would you care to explain this activity?
Jennifer: All I can say is that none of what you just
said has happened. I think you’ve made
a mistake.
Mr.
Gallego: Very well. Here you go. (hands her an envelope)
Jennifer: What’s this?
Mr.
Gallego: It’s a search warrant Ms.
Aniston.
Jennifer: On what grounds?
Mr.
Gallego: It’s all there in the search
warrant Ms. Aniston. If you’ll excuse
me, I’d like to get started.
Jennifer: Wait, wait a minute. Am I being charged with a crime?
Mr.
Gallego: Not yet. Now if you’ll excuse me, I will execute my
search warrant.
(Mr.
Gallego goes upstairs. Jennifer picks
up the phone and dials)
Jennifer: Brad?
Brad
(on the streets of New York): Hey
honey.
Jennifer: A DEA agent is here and he’s searching our
house.
Brad: What?
Jennifer: I’m not fooling around Brad. He’s searching our house right now.
Brad: For what?
Jennifer: I don’t know but he has a search
warrant. He said something about David
being investigated for drug trafficking and money transfers through our bank
account at Bank of America. I think he
thinks we’re involved in something illegal.
Brad: Call our attorney immediately. I’m on my way home as we speak. I’ll be there in ten minutes.
Jennifer: Please hurry.
Brad: I’ll be there. Just stay calm.
Jennifer: Ok.
See you soon. (Jennifer hangs up
and goes to call her attorney. Mr.
Gallego comes downstairs carry a very large bag of marijuana. Jennifer puts down the phone)
Mr.
Gallego: Would you care to explain this
bag of marijuana Ms. Aniston? You have
enough pot here to get high every day for the next three years.
Jennifer: I’ve, I’ve never seen that before. Where did you find that?
Mr.
Gallego: In the master bedroom in a
dresser drawer underneath your bras and panties.
Jennifer: That’s impossible!
Mr.
Gallego: You do realize that possession
of marijuana, especially in this quantity is illegal. In this case, based on the amount in this bag, it’s a
felony.
Jennifer: Well then you must’ve planted that bag
because I’ve never seen it before in my life.
Mr.
Gallego: Ms. Aniston, please turn
around and place your hands on your head.
Jennifer: Excuse me?
Mr.
Gallego: You are under arrest for drug
possession with the intent to distribute, money laundering and drug
trafficking. Turn around and place your
hands on your head.
(Jennifer
turns around and places her hands on her head.
Mr. Gallego comes behind her and places her in handcuffs) Ms. Aniston you have the right to remain
silent. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you can afford an attorney, one will be
provided to you. Do you understand your
rights Ms. Aniston?
Jennifer: Yes.
Mr.
Gallego (taking out his gun and putting his silencer on): Say goodnight Ms. Aniston.
Jennifer: What?
Mr.
Gallego: I said, say goodnight.
Jennifer: Oh my God!
You’re going to kill me!
Mr.
Gallego: It’s your lucky day Ms.
Aniston. (fires two shots to the back
of her head, killing her instantly. He
calmly picks up the bag of marijuana and leaves the flat)
VICTORIA’S
SECRET
(Jenna is working in her office with the radio on as Rachel enters)
Rachel: Hey Jenna.
Jenna: Hey Rachel.
How are you?
Rachel: Busy.
I’m trying to hide from Katie.
Jenna: Well this is a good place to hide because Katie
never comes down to visit me. Where’s
your top lieutenant?
Rachel: Probably hiding from me.
Jenna: What?
Did he miss a deadline or something?
Rachel: No, he just avoids me like the plague when
we’re at work. I mean, do you seek to
hang out with Katie when you’re here?
Jenna: I see your point.
Rachel: Oh, I love this song, turn it up.
Jenna: I didn’t picture you a classic rock
fan.
Rachel: Hey, they just cut off the song.
DJ: We have some breaking news that we’d like to
share with you at this moment. Jennifer
Aniston, 35, was found shot dead this morning in her Central Park West flat by
her husband. Police have not released
any further details at this point. Ms.
Aniston was the star of such films as Along
Came Polly, Bruce Almighty, and The Good
Girl. Again, Jennifer Aniston was
murdered this morning in her residence.
Jennifer Aniston was 35. She is
survived by her husband Brad Pitt and their two children.
Jenna: Oh my God! (Rachel faints and crashes to the
floor) Rachel!
ROSS
& RACHEL’S FLAT (Ross and his kids are present)
Caitlin: Daddy?
Ross: Yeah?
Caitlin: Can we go to the zoo?
Ross: Not today.
Caitlin: How come?
Ross: Because the zoo moved to Cleveland for the
week.
Caitlin: Really?
Ross: Yup.
Maybe we’ll go next week.
Caitlin: Ok.
(the
phone rings)
Ross: Hello?
Brad
(from his flat): Ross, it’s Brad.
Ross: Hey, when’d you get back in town?
Brad: Last night.
Look, I need a huge favor.
Ross: Sure, anything.
Brad: I need you to watch Courteney and Colin for
me for a few days.
Ross: Sure, are you and Jennifer going away? (Brad doesn’t respond) Brad, are you still there?
Brad: Jennifer was murdered this morning.
Ross: What! I just talked to her not an hour ago!
Brad: A man posing as a DEA agent made his way
into the flat and served Jennifer with a search warrant. She called me on my cell while all this was
happening. From what the police can
tell is that the man then handcuffed Jennifer and shot her execution style with
two shots to the back of her head. I
came home and found her lying on the floor in a pool of blood and the kids
crying. I, I was only ten minutes from home when she called me man. I didn’t get home in time to save my
wife.
Ross: I don’t know what to say Brad. I’m shocked and I’m truly sorry. Whatever Rachel and I can do, just name it.
Brad: I’ll, I’ll be over within the hour to drop
the kids off.
Ross: Do you want me to come pick them up?
Brad: No, no, I need time to explain to them what
happened to Mommy. God, how am I gonna
explain to them that Mommy is dead?
Ross: Just tell them the truth Brad. (pause)
Did they see Jennifer, you know, after she was shot?
Brad: Courteney did. Colin had fallen asleep by the time I got home. Courteney was trying to wake Jennifer up
when I entered the flat. Courteney,
Courteney had Jennifer’s blood all over her.
I just don’t think she could put two and two together. I think she thought that Jennifer was just
sleeping and not dead. Look, I need to
go. I’ve got a million things to do and
I still have to talk with the police further.
I’ll be over within the hour.
Thanks for your help.
Ross: Brad?
Brad: Yeah?
Ross: I’m serious, anything you need please just
ask.
Brad: Thanks.
I’ll see you soon.
Ross
(hanging up the phone): How in the hell
am I going to tell Rachel that her best friend is dead?
VICTORIA’S
SECRET
(Jenna and Rachel are present. Jenna has
brought Rachel back to consciousness)
Jenna
(who is crying): Sit up slowly Rach.
Rachel
(also crying): It’s really true isn’t
it?
Jenna: I’m afraid so.
(Chandler
enters)
Chandler: Rach, I’ve been looking everywhere for….my
God, did someone die or something?
(Jenna and Rachel start crying harder) Oh my God, what happened? (Rachel tries to tell Chandler but can’t get
any words out) Jenna?
Jenna: Jennifer, Jennifer was murdered this
morning.
Chandler: Excuse me?
Jenna: She’s dead.
The radio station just announced her death a couple of minutes ago.
Chandler: Holy shit!
Ah, ah, we need to get the hell out of here. You stay here with Rachel and I’ll go talk to Katie. Don’t go anywhere until I get back ok? (Chandler leaves)
Rachel: Why? Why did this have to happen? She’d never hurt anyone.
Jenna: I have no idea Rachel I have no idea.
ROSS
& RACHEL’S FLAT (The Geller family, Brad’s children, The Bing family, The Tribbiani
family, Phoebe and Jack are present)
Courteney: Uncle Ross?
Ross: Yes Courteney?
Courteney: Why is everybody crying?
Ross: Everyone is sad honey.
Courteney: Because of what happened to my Mommy?
Ross: Yes sweetie, because of what happened to
your Mommy. (Courteney runs off to play
with the other kids. Ross – to the
others) I don’t know how kids do
it.
Phoebe: Maybe it hasn’t fully hit her yet Ross. Maybe she’s still in shock.
Joey: Did Brad explain to them that Mommy’s gone
to the big cloud in the sky?
Ross: Yeah.
Brad tried to explain it all to them earlier.
Phoebe: I bet you Jennifer’s just sitting up there
in peace now. Smiling down upon all of
us. God, I wish I had that chance.
Rachel: What, what are you saying Phoebe? That Jennifer’s lucky that she got gunned
down this morning?
Phoebe: No, no, no, that’s absolutely horrible
Rach. I didn’t mean anything by it at
all. I just mean since I’m on a one-way
ticket to Hell that the only thing waiting for me is a very hot, uncomfortable
sauna.
Rachel
(getting up): Well why don’t you save
your heaven and hell theories for another day Phoebe. (Rachel goes into their master bedroom)
Joey: Phoebe!
Now look what you’ve done.
Phoebe: I swear, I didn’t mean anything by it.
Jenna: Joey, leave Phoebe alone.
Ross: Don’t worry about it Phoebe, Rachel doesn’t
handle death well at all.
Monica: Who does?
Chandler: Yeah, it’s not right up there on the top
times to throw a party.
Jack: Any word on when the services will be
held?
Ross: Wednesday.
Here in New York.
Monica: Really?
I really thought that the funeral would be held in LA.
Ross: Brad was adamant that the service be held
here in New York. This is where they choose to spend the majority of their time
now and this is home to them.
Chandler: Now what do we do?
Ross: We sit around, get absolutely shit faced,
and tell stories about how Jennifer touched our lives.
Joey: I’m all for that.
Jenna: Once again the disadvantages of being
pregnant rear their ugly little heads.
Joey: What are you talking about? You’re absolutely beautiful.
Jack: I was a metaphor Joey.
Joey: Don’t you think I knew that?
Monica: Not exactly. I’m gonna go talk to Rachel.
(Monica gets up from her seat and makes her way to the master
bedroom)
Ross: What should we start with? Jack Daniels or Bacardi?
Jack: Jack.
Joey: You know you’re only saying that because
it’s your first name.
Jack: No, I hate rum.
(Cut
to Monica and Rachel – Rachel has buried her face in her pillows and she’s
sprawled out on the bed)
Monica: Rach?
Rachel: This isn’t a good time Mon.
Monica: This isn’t a good time for any of us
Rachel.
Rachel
(sitting up): I, I, I just don’t
understand how someone can just waltz into someone’s apartment and kill a
person without anyone seeing him.
Monica: I’m pretty sure the police have a pretty
good idea of who they’re looking for.
Rachel: And how do you figure that?
Monica: Because Brad and Jennifer’s building is
secure and the only way in is through security. Someone saw the killer’s face.
Rachel: Hell, it doesn’t make any difference anyway,
she’s dead. She’s not here
anymore.
Monica: Look, I know that Jennifer was one of your
closest friends and how much she meant, means, to you. But Brad needs you right now. He needs you to be strong in the next couple
of days. You’ll have time to grieve
after the funeral service, but until then Brad really needs you to be strong in
front of his kids. They don’t fully
understand that Jennifer isn’t coming home anymore. But if they figure it out before the funeral, you and Ross are
going to have to help them cope. Can
you do that for Brad?
Rachel: Yes.
Monica: Now come on with me and join the
others. It’s time to drink to
Jennifer.
Rachel: I could drink a whole bottle.
Monica: I think we all could sweetie, I think we all
could.
TWO
DAYS LATER - JOHNSON’S FUNERAL HOME (Jennifer’s family and
friends are present)
Joey: Man, I really hate funerals. They freak me out.
Jenna: Hey, this is one of your close friends so
deal with it.
Phoebe: Boy, this place is packed with
celebrities. I mean it’s like a who’s
who of Hollywood here.
Jack: Did you see all of her fans outside? The streets were packed.
(Monica
and Chandler sit down)
Monica: Hey.
Phoebe: Where’re the kids?
Monica: At home with a babysitter. They’re too young for a funeral.
Chandler: And that case, why is Joey here?
Joey: Don’t make me come over there and wipe that
smile off your face.
Jenna: Knock it off.
Joey: He insulted me first.
Jenna: I don’t care, knock it off.
Monica: Did everyone bring enough tissues?
Chandler: Well if you didn’t Monica brought the tissue
making plant with her.
Monica: What did I tell you about being a smart ass
today?
Chandler: Ah, not to be.
Monica: Then stop making wisecracks.
(Ross
and Rachel arrive)
Ross: Hey.
Rachel: Hi.
Monica: Did you bring extra tissues?
Rachel: Yeah and if I run out I’ll just use Ross’
shirt.
(Somber
music begins to play and Jennifer’s casket is carried in by her pallbearers
with Brad upfront.)
Minister: Family and friends, we gather here today to
celebrate the life of Jennifer Joanna Aniston Pitt. A life that was tragically cut short but one in which she touched
the lives of so many people as I can see now here before me and the throes of
fans waiting outside to say goodbye to Jennifer for one final time. It is in times like these that many of a
believer in God has his faith challenged.
Why would a just God take away a vibrant young mother in the prime of
her life? But that is the mystery of
God, for only He knows the true answer.
God has plan for each and everyone one of us and God has called Jennifer
home. Though a somber occasion, and a
painful time for all of you, please celebrate Jennifer’s life. Look into your heart and soul and feel
Jennifer’s presence. Though she may be
gone physically from this world, she is here with us spiritually always. So to celebrate Jennifer’s life, a group of
her closest friends would like to share some words with all of you.
(Courteney
Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Paul Rudd and Kathy Najimy speak about
Jennifer. After Kathy Najimy finishes,
it’s Ross’ turn).
Ross: Hello, my name is Ross Geller. Originally Brad asked my wife Rachel to say
a few words but unfortunately Rachel is too distraught to speak at the moment. To me Jennifer can be best described by the
way I met her. I was staying at a hotel
in Los Angeles with my wife who was on a business trip at the time. While my wife went to work, I went to read
by the pool. After a few minutes, I was
approached by Jennifer. Needless to
say, I was in total shock. For one, I
had never met a celebrity before and two, I never expected one to strike up a
conversation with me. But that’s how
Jennifer was, she was personable to everyone that she met. From that one chance meeting grew a great
friendship. Hell, I even delivered
Jennifer’s first child at a friend of mine’s apartment during the middle of a
New York City whiteout. Jennifer was a
great friend to my wife and to myself as well and she will be sorely missed. Jennifer may have left this earth but she
did not live her spirit behind. For
those who had the pleasure of knowing her, we know that her spirit will live
with each of us for the rest of our lives.
(Ross
sits down and Brad takes the podium)
Brad: Forgive me if I can’t make it through
this. As you have heard, Jennifer
touched the lives of many people. As
her husband, I know that she touched my life very deeply. I, I knew from the
moment I first met Jennifer that I was to spend the rest of my life with
her. Now, she’s gone. And there’s
nothing I can do about it. And at this
moment, I feel lost and confused.
Jennifer was my world. But I
know that if the shoe were on the other foot and you were here today
celebrating my life that Jennifer would say that while devastated, angry,
confused and all of the other emotions that I’m feeling right now, that she
would march on the best she could.
Because that’s how Jennifer was, when the chips were down, Jennifer rose
to the challenge. So (long pause to
compose himself) so, in honor of my wife, I will carry on. I, I, love you Jennifer. You will be with me always.
ROSS
& RACHEL’S FLAT (The Geller Family, Brad and his children are present)
Rachel: If there’s anything you need Brad, please
call.
Brad: I will.
Ross: I mean if you need to leave your kids with
us for a few more days, please do.
Brad: I have to start living my life again
Ross. I’ve got to try to move
forward. That means being a great
father to my two kids. Courteney, Colin,
time to go.
Rachel: Hang in there.
Brad: Same to you.
Ross: Keep in touch. Don’t turn into a hermit.
Brad: Thanks for all your support these past
couple of days. I couldn’t have any
attempted to get through it with your guys help.
Rachel: That’s what friends are for.
Brad: Ok, off we go guys. Say thank you to Aunt Rachel and Uncle
Ross.
Courteney/Colin: Thank you.
Rachel: You’re welcome. Bye Brad.
Ross: I just don’t know what I’d do if I were in
his shoes.
Rachel: You’d do what he’s doing. He’s taking ten minutes at a time. Eventually he’ll be up to an hour at a time
and before long a day at a time.
Ross: How do you know?
Rachel: That’s how I dealt with my Father’s
death. And that’s how I’m going to deal
with Jennifer’s death.
Ross: I think I’m going have to learn your
approach because mine isn’t working.
Rachel: What have you been doing?
Ross: Trying to block everything out of my
mind.
Rachel: Come talk with me, we’ll get through this
together.
BRAD
& JENNIFER’S FLAT (Brad is asleep in the bedroom.
He is awakened by a noise in the master bath. He slowly gets up out of
bed to investigate, walking quietly towards the master bath. He enters)
Jennifer: Hey honey. I’m sorry, did I wake you?
I dropped the hair dryer.
(Brad
faints – cut to three minutes later.
Jennifer has brought Brad back to consciousness)
Brad
(touching Jennifer): You’re, you’re,
you’re not dead.
Jennifer: No sweetie, I’m alive and kicking. You’re as white as a ghost. Are you ok?
Brad: It was just a dream. It was just a terrible nightmare. You’re still alive.
Jennifer: Now you’re scaring me. What did you dream about?
Brad: You were murdered. You called me right before it happened. I didn’t get home in time.
We buried you this morning. You’re supposed to be dead.
Jennifer: I’m not dead honey. I’m right here. Remember, we made love and you went back to sleep and I started
getting ready to go to the Hamptons for the day to take a break from
everything. (taking Brad’s hand and placing it on her chest) See, can’t you feel my heartbeat?
Brad: I can feel your heartbeat. This was just a terrible dream. It seemed so real. I felt so lost without you.
Jennifer: A
little dramatic?
Brad: No Jen, the dream was so real that I thought
you were really gone. In my dream I was
absolutely devastated. I think that’s
why I fainted when I saw you when I walked into the master bath.
Jennifer: Well I’m not dead honey. Maybe having sex first thing in the morning
isn’t a good thing for you to do.
Brad: I think you’re right. First I hurt my back, then I fell off the
bed and now I dream that someone murders my wife.
Jennifer: Ok, then it’s settled. No sex before 9 o’clock.
Brad: Works for me.
Jennifer: If you’re gonna run to the store could you
get ready soon? I don’t want to hit a
lot of traffic.
Brad: I’ll just send someone to pick it up.
Jennifer: Why?
Brad: Because you were murdered when I thought I
was at the store.
Jennifer: Definitely send a driver, I don’t need any
of your dreams coming true. (Brad puts
both hands on Jennifer’s face) What are
you doing?
Brad: This. (Brad kisses Jennifer) Now I know I’m not dreaming.
Jennifer: How’s that?
Brad: You stuck your tongue down my throat. For some reason in my dreams you never do
that.
