“The jungle was fascinating… but the scare of Malaria was so strong that we bathed in ’Off’ until our eyes watered.  There wasn’t a mosquito for 10 miles that didn’t know we were coming.”

Back

“The trek into the Jungle was worth the effort.  The monkeys and birds and bats and unusual plants kept us alert and watching.”

The Howler monkeys at the Mayan Ruins sounded eerie, but fun to watch swing through the trees.

This friendly local fisherman is in a true “dugout” boat.

Some of the houses looked more like temporary shelters.

Two Spider monkeys played in the trees above our boat.  One came down for the food offering, the other stayed in the tree and ‘scolded’.

The water was so still as we motored up the waterways.  We were watching for Crocodiles, but we never saw any.  Darn!

You better
Belize it!!
