The Lammer Law

We stayed on this boat for 10 days, half of that time at the islands of Wolf and Darwin.  We started our diving in the central Islands, Santa Cruz and Santiago where we also were able to hike on the islands themselves to see the incredible wild life there.

Then we headed out to Wolf and Darwin for some truly exciting diving. Wolf and Darwin were quite a ways away from the central Galapagos Islands, about 14 hours of traveling. You could not get on either of these islands, so we stayed on the Lammer Law and dove and dove and ate and snorkeled and slept.

Galapagos Islands

We did some of our most exciting and amazing diving off the small Islands of Darwin and Wolf.  Our boat was anchored  right off Isla Darwin, with a beautiful view of the Darwin’s arch, for 4-5 days.  Dolphins played near the boat the entire time we were anchored there, and thousands of birds were nesting in the cliffs next to the boat.  At the arch we saw huge schools of fish, Galapagos sharks, schooling Hammerheads and…. WHALE SHARKS.

Darwin’s Arch

Just off Isla Darwin where we were anchored for about 4 days.  We never tired of the view of the arch.

GALAPAGOS!

Juvenile Red Footed Boobie

Young Boobies such as these were always on the boat, on the rails and masts… they were not afraid of people. Some people even got the braver boobies to sit on their arms, (or were those the braver people?)
