| Disciplinary Policy |
| If a legitimate complaint concerning a coach, player(s), parent or guardian is parlayed to any member of the BOD, it should be noted and presented to the Executive Board and the Disciplinary/Grievance Committee as soon as possible. The Committee should consist of at least 3 board members from the BOD who are pre-appointed by the President of the Association.If the complaint is found to be serious enough to go before the Disciplinary/Grievance Committee, the process will be as follows: An investigation will take place, to interview and get a consensus of up to 5, but not limited to, parents, children and/or coaches, to determine what transpired during the said time. A letter or phone contact will be made to those concerned specifying the complaint and the time and date of the panel meeting. A meeting with the parents, child and/or coach and the committee will take place. This is to be taken as a warning pertaining to the unacceptable behavior. At this time, all issues will be discussed concerning the degree of severity of the behavior and the subsequent disciplinary action. OFFENSES - May include, but are not limited to: misconduct/unsportsmanlike behavior, disrespect, vulgarity, endangerment to others/fighting. First Violation - Verbal warning, accompanied by meeting. Second Violation - Suspension from all participation for a period of up to 2 weeks. Third Violation - Expulsion for remainder of season. Repeat offenders who do not adhere to this code of conduct of those persons who choose to disregard the requests of the Committee may be terminated from future participation in this Association. The Disciplinary/Grievance Committee will be responsible for executing whatever decision it makes; be it reprimanding, warning, suspension or expulsion of the palyer(s), coach, parent or guardian. The Committee will also record all findings and decisions. The Disciplinary Policy and Disciplinary/Grievance Committee are in conjunction with Articles #4, 6 and 7 of the EYSA By-Laws.
