According to the USA Today's study of populated places in the United States, Eynon, Pennsylvania is compared to the classic TV town of Mayberry, North Carolina.  This was the setting of the Andy Griffith Show.  Eynon has been described as a quaint picturesque berg twelve miles north of Scranton in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Eynon was established in 1876 and grew to a current population of fifteen hundred people.  Eynon is the western part of the Archbald Borough.
