The Life of a Slayer By: Sophie Lavalier Chapter 6 The First Mission Upon arriving at the docking bay, they looked up to find Dilandau, who was in his Alseides, stroking his flamethrower and giggling. “ Will someone give me a hand? I need to test something out.” Dilandau said turning the giant red Alseides their way. Migel grinned and reached out towards Gattie as though to volunteer him when Dallet stepped forward. “ I’ll lend you a hand, Lord Dilandau sir.” He said confidently. “ Heeee…” Dilandau laughed, holding up his flamethrower, and pointing it at the ground far away from the others, “ Stand here” Dallet shrugged and looked at the others, then walked over to where Dilandau had requested he stand. Dilandau then let out a shrill laugh “ Lovely” he chided pointing his flamethrower at Dallet. “ I needed to warm up my flamethrower before battle. Heeeeeeeeee” “ Ah oh!!!!!” Dallet screamed turning and running as fast as he could towards his Petunia, as the end of the flamethrower began to smoke. A large billowing river of fire spilled out of the flamethrower, and Dallet took a leap under, his own Alseides. “ At least I can find out if that Thermasilk shampoo this mourning really works!!” Dallet cried as the flames rippled over him. “ Ah hahahahahahahahaha!!!” Dilandau laughed, “ Thank-you Dallet, I think it’s working very well indeed. Good, now everyone, get in your guimelifs, in country burning time!!” Dilandau screamed leaping into the air and hovered there in anticipation. “ Hurry!!!!!” Fearing being torched, the rest of them quickly got, into there melifs. Sophie hopped into the pilots seat. And latched herself in. “Alright…here we go.” she whispered, taking control. She marched the Destiny over to the entrance, and leapt into the air. Where the other slayers quickly joined her. “Lovely!!!!” Dilandau screamed, “Follow me!!!” She floated a little frightened at first. Then Migel hovered up beside her, and as though he could feel how nervous she was, whispered through a private frequency. “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you” before he zoomed of after the others. She smiled, a little relieved, and then flew after them. They flew for around 10 minutes, before dipping down into a forest on Fanalia’s boarder. “Stealth cloaks!” Dilandau ordered and then waited until his small army was invisible. “Alright, you know what your doing, now don’t screw up.” Sophie tensed up, right. Quickly the small group crept to the edge of the forest, and gazed down at the happy thriving Fanalia. Then slowly, they began to walk, down the slope into the town. Sophie watched with deep sorrow that she was sure the other slayers felt, as the citizens happily went on with their lives. Unaware that there killer’s stood right beside them. Slowly and quietly they inched towards the palace walls. Where once inside they picked up there pace. The people around them, scared at first, watched the many giant footprints, become indented in the ground. In no time there was a small army surrounding there hidden melifs. And then that’s when it started, swords clanked, fires burned, and the screams of innocent people rang louder then the clashing metal. It was all one big blur, she felt scared and confused. She fired chroma claws madly at the on coming enemy. Soon all the main troops were dead or wounded. Sophie then followed the rest of her squad towards a shrine far back near the forest. Where she noticed a large Guimelif emerge from. It was unlike any she’d ever seen. As they drew closer, she noticed a girl huddled away near the shrine, looking scared but determined. Dilandau ran straight for the guimelif, sword ready to attack. The slayers followed. “Cloaks!” Dilandau yelled putting up his own. Sophie put hers up and charged, slamming the destiny into the enemy melifs side. Which responded by hitting her in the chest with its arm. She tumbled clumsily onto her back. The enemy melif raised his sword to strike her but another hidden melif blocked it and stood infront to guard her while she got up. This she guessed was Migel. Gratefully, she got to her feet and drew her own sword, but no the enemy had backed up next to the girl and was fighting to keep all the slayers off his back. She noticed that Petunia, and Wooya (Dallet & Chesta) didn’t have there stealth cloaks on, and therefore were the enemy’s main targets. Dilandau suddenly dropped his cloak, and everyone followed. They all advanced on the girl and Melif. Certainly he was done for, but before any of them could take him out, something around the girls neck glowed, and a brilliant pillar of light surrounded the to. The slayers drew back, and watched as the melif disappeared from view. They all stood on the spot in silence, until Dilandau screamed with hatred out loud, before signaling them to follow him. In bitter silence, they flew back to the Vione. Their mission had been accomplished; Fanalia had been burned to the ground.
