Subject: Fic: Back to Gaea Chapter 2


Chapter 2

Kuno Nabiki was getting impatient. Where could that girl be? Ranma, 
her son, had come back for school a few hours ago, but there still 
was no sign of his rambunctious twin. 

-"My mom is absolutely going to kill me!''
Akane and co. were running top speed towards the girl's house.
Var 
was easily outpacing her friends, much to their annoyance. She 
smirked at them and sped up some more. BUMP! And she was on the 
floor. 
Her head was spinning, she closed her eyes and tried to concentrate, 
but that didn't help at all. After a few seconds, she looked
towards 
the person in front of her. The guy had a gun! He was pointing it at 
them! Kiri let out a whimper, while Akane remained standing there in 
shock. 
-"Hey, girls! What's u�''
Oh, great! Now Ranma was here also. The guy pulled out another gun 
and pointed at him. 
The four teens could hear the police sirens getting closer. Something 
clicked in Akane's mind: the bank, two blocks away.
The robber looked behind him for a second, then he turned and grabbed 
Var's arm and dragged her to her feet. He pointed the gun to her
head 
and told the others not to move.
All they could do was stare. Ranma clenched his fist in annoyance. He 
had been taught martial arts since he was a toddler, and still he 
couldn't do a thing right now. 
Var could feel her eyes tearing up. She could feel her body going 
numb with shock. Her friends' faces were eloquent enough, they
didn't 
know what to do. She'd probably be death by the time the police 
arrived.
Her thoughts went towards her family, namely, her grandmother.  She 
remembered the day she died, tow years ago. 
`Oh, grandma, I'm coming. We'll be together soon. You,
mom and me. 
I'm sorry. I failed you, Now I'm never going to follow my
dreams.'

-"Var.''
She was looking at her grandmother, as she lied on her bed at the 
hospital.
-"Var, child, listen to me. Do you feel it? You're different
Var. The 
blood that runs through your veins, your father's and your
mother's 
blood, it makes you different. Your gift hasn't awoken yet, but
it 
will. Find her, Var. Find them, your parents are waiting for you. 
Promise me you'll follow your dreams child, they will take you to 
them. I love you, granddaughter.''
-"I promise you, grandmama. And I love you too.''

Var opened her eyes. The gun was still being pointed at her.  Tears 
slid down her cheeks. She wanted to live, to fulfill her promise to 
her beloved grandmother, she wanted to know whom her parents were, 
why she had been left behind. There were to many questions for her to 
die know, she simply had to know before�
-"Mother! Please! Mother, help me!''
Out of nowhere, a great beam of light appeared. It enveloped her and 
her friends, and disappeared, leaving a very dazed bank robber in its 
wake.



So what do you think? Like it or hate it? Chapter three is almost 
ready, I'll post it in the next couple of days. Don't worry, this is 
an Esca crossover, so you'll soon meet familiar characters. Please,
