From: Zelda Zosa-Villalon zzv@csi.com.ph Date: Sat Dec 23, 2000 10:14pm Subject: Here it is! Aha! Here it is! I told you I'd make it! Chapter two of "Forever Guarded by the Twin Lions"! Once again, the story might be too fast, but I planned it that way. Disclaimers: I don't own esca. I don't own FF Tactics. But I do own... the blue-eyed, long haired boy from Hitomi's vision... And the blue pendant... and the.... blue berry cheese cake on the ref! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A warrior takes a sword in hand, clasping a gem to his heart... Engraving vanishing memories into the sword... He places finely honed skills into the stone... Spoken from the sword... Handed down from the stone... Now the story can be told. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Act 2: Prophecies "It's been two years already, Hitomi." Allen said, a warm smile still playing on his lips. He changed too. His hair was shorter and was now tied in a pony tail. "Didn't you know?" Hitomi shook her head. "Then why was I called back? I already had a good life on Earth, don't tell me there's a war again." A new voice answered. "Iie. No war. Just a few mysterious events." Folken Fanel stepped into the room in his usual black. He took one look at the two guards, still kneeled down, not feeling their legs and numb backs, then dismissed them. Both were so gracious. Hitomi smiled at Folken, her expression fading to a blank sheet of paper when a pink-orange furry something ran to them. "What's she doing here?" Melre asked in her same tingly high voice. Hitomi popped into an SD look and pointed at the cat-girl. "She didn't seem to change." "Hitomi, have you noticed anything strange back in your homeland?" Folken asked. Hitomi shook her head. "Just a few thunder-storms, Folken-san." Folken nodded solemnly and walked away, obviously thinking. Van spoke again, his hand still on Hitomi's shoulder. "I think we should give you a little review of all that's happened through two years." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "WHAT?!" Hitomi gave a cry, nearly toppling over her chair. Dillandau, who sat across her had a blank look on his face which usually spelled bloody murder. So far, Hitomi was able to swallow all that's happened. Fanelia was rebuilt. Allen was promoted to be an Asturian general thanks to Dryden, who at the moment, played the role of the king of Asturia. (But Allen persisted to keep his old knight clothes. They were much better then the armor the generals wore.) Millerna and Dryden already have a year-old son. Zaibach was never re-built but most of the Dragon Slayers passed the tests and became Asturian knights. Folken was to wed a foreign princes in a month's time, but the last piece of information… The last piece of information… The last piece of information… "No." Hitomi said, shaking her head. "No, that can't possibly be true." She leaned across the table. "Celena, that…that guy's your husband?!" She asked, eyes wide, a finger pointing at Dillandau. Celena smiled and nodded. Allen rested his head on a hand, rolled his eyes and muttered. "Unfortunately." The former Zaibach Captain frowned. "Oh, everybody's a critic." Hitomi stared agape. "This is a dream. Somebody hit me." Dillandau grinned and stood up abruptly, rolling up a sleeve. "Gladly." Celena tugged at the albino's pants. "Sush. Sit down." With a sigh, the boy did. "Now to talk about more important things." Folken said, ignoring the murmured insult Dillandau gave him. "Something's not right in Gaea. I'm not sure what, but it started when the calendar didn't follow the order." He brought out a complicated map of symbols and characters that Hitomi didn't understand. "The red moon came before the full white moon. Aside from that, it should have been the later quarter. The green moon disappeared entirely while the blue and yellow moon appeared at the same time. Then, half of Cid's kingdom burst into flames with no provocation. Until now, Freid has been declared 'state of calamity'. The dragons have been restless and started migrating to the North when their portion of the Fenelian forests experienced an unexpected snow storm. The seas and oceans have had some high tides, but everything's under control. The only untouched countries are Asturia and Ivalice." Folken coughed importantly. "Ivalice, being the country whose princess I'm bound to marry." A series of groans came from the group. Folken shot his head up. "What? I'll have you know that Princess Ovelia is quite beautiful." "Oh, come off it, Folken." Van said, patting his brother's back. "You've been boasting about her for months. Give it a rest. It's getting old." Allen shook his head. "All these thing have been happening for a month. After that, the strangest thing occurred. The Mystic Moon disappeared." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There. Have I explained the time slip? It's been two years in Gaea, while it's only been two months on Earth because somehow, the Mystic Moon dissapeared from Gaea's sky. How that happened, read on! YeS! I am proud to say that I have not only separated Celena and Dillandau, I got them to say 'I DO'! Hahahahahahahahahahaha! The next chapters are filled with FF tactics, so BIG FAT SPOILERS for the game. But if you dare, then come on right in. >> Kirei Yukishiro --Who really must stop watching Disney
