Act 1: Visions Hitomi tossed and turned in her bed, images of the night taking a toll on her rest once again. It was all going to happen, everything was repeating itself. In the depths of darkness and utter silence, she saw a faint light-blue flash. A soft chanting filled her ears before a low tolling of a church bell. The light-blue flash came once again, a little stronger now, revealing indistinguishable silhouettes that scared her unreasonably. The chanting came closer then the church bell rang once more, followed by another, and another, until the chanting and bells blended in some kind of dark harmony. The light blue flash came and showed a picture of a young man, no, not even a man. A boy, maybe a few months younger than her. He was pale, with long brown hair that flowed down to the middle of his back and was tied together by the nape of his neck. His dark blue eyes were tired and glazed, and he was wearing a necklace with a light blue pendant that looked like that of Hitomi's. His eyes snapped open, as if suddenly aware of Hitomi's presence. Another flash from the boy's pendant and both of them blinked. Then, it was over. Hitomi sat up from the bed, panting and sweating, greeting the morning with a startled cry. It took her a full 30 seconds to catch her breath and also to realize that she was not where she ought to be. That she was not at home, not on her bed, not on Earth. "I'm in Gaea." She whispered. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "VAAAAAAAN!" Hitomi shouted, pushing through the gigantic doors, much to the guards' dismay. No matter how many times they tried to reason to her, how many times they told her that Van-sama was having some important business with close acquaintances from the east, this strange girl would not listen. And the guards were new on the job too. There goes the Christmas bonus… Any conversation that may have been going on in the great hall abruptly hushed down and stopped as the doors burst open to show the angry teen-aged girl. The young king of Fanelia got up from his throne and hurried to the girl, a smile lighting up his face. The two guards were on their knees, calling on at least fifty saints to not have two months canceled from their pay check... "Hitomi." Van greeted, about to hold her hand. And he would have to, if she hadn't grabbed him first. "Don't 'Hitomi' me!" She shouted, shaking the most important figure in Fanelia hard. "I thought I told you I don't want it anymore! I don't want the visions, the war and the tangled love triangle! No more! I don't want it, you take it!" The guards mentally flinched, blaming the other for not stopping this insane wackaloon from harassing their king. "Well, if it's not the mystic bitch come back from the dead." Hitomi stopped momentarily, letting go of Van when she heard the voice. She turned to the speaker, her eyes widening as she drowned in the sight of Dillandau, Allen and Celena. "What happened, forgot about me along with the Mystic Moon?" Dillandau sneered. Allen glared at him. "Be nice." He warned. The albino frowned, muttering. "I'm not your dog." Van finally recovered his wits, putting a hand on Hitomi's shoulder. "What happened to the Mystic Moon?" He asked, his voice was filled with concern and worry. Hitomi turned to him. "What do you mean 'what happened'?" Now, Hitomi's mind was twirling around. "Van, what happened to you?" She asked. Van looked older, more mature. He was taller and had more prominent muscles than before. She glanced behind her. The others also changed. "It was only two months since I left, why does everything look so different?" A chuckle came from Dillandau. "Two months.… How convenient. Don't worry about it, Kanzaki. We just really hurried the re-building of Fanelia." He only stopped teasing when Celena gave him a firm look. "It's been two years already, Hitomi." Allen said, a warm smile still playing on his lips. He changed too. His hair was shorter and was now tied in a pony tail. "Didn't you know?" _____________________________ Ha! Time slip! Ha! Time slip! And this ficcy's got the Dragon Slayers and Dilly on it!
