Disclaimers: I don't own Escaflowne it belongs to all the companys that own it (duh if I owned Escaflowne you wouldn't be reading this fic beacuse I would be trying to get the subbed episodes on American TV and I wouldn't need this disclaimer) Don't sue I'm just a middle school student the most you'll get is my computer and it's my computer ya hear mine!

Oh one more thing anything in italics indicates thought I haven't seen all of Escaflowne so bear with me but I've read alot of episode sypnosises.

And another thing before I drive you crazy with my little notes I would like to thank Dragonstar for the idea of Van revealing his wings(we'll see more of this in chap.6) and Van meeting Hitomi's folks and all the other people who had some positive input. Thankies! ^_^ This cahpter isn't as serious I thought I would have a little fun with it. Watch out for attempts at humor I'm really bad at it. Sorry if my speelings are off I named Hitomi's little brother John but he'll be called squirt in this fic(I call my brother squirt ^_^)

Chapter Five:New guests

Hitomi looked down at the beatiful white dress she was wearing while a man hurriedly put pins in and took pins out as he scribbled notes down on a piece of paper. Hitomi sighed uncomfortable in all the layers of fabric, the dress was beautiful and made of a really nice fabric but she wanted out for at least a while hmm I just need an idea I got it! at this thought Hitomi grinned mischeviously.

"Van how about we ask Yukari and Amano if they would like to have their wedding here?' Hitomi smiled as she looked at Van's expression

"That's a good idea I'll go and find them" said Van

"That's okay I'll find them" said Hitomi as she took off the dress and ran out of the room

"You know she almost seems happy about getting out of that dress" Van commented watching Hitomi run down the hall

Hitomi stopped running and began to walk down the hall till she came to a familar door. Hitomi knocked on the door and asked if she could come in.

"Come on in Hitomi" said Yukari

Hitomi opened the door slowly and stepped inside with a grin on her face.

"Hey Amano, Yukari how about you have your wedding here or at least get Yukari's wedding dress." said Hitomi as she watched the couple talk it over

"That is a great idea" replied Yukari and Amano silmultainiously

"Great follow me, there is someone you should meet" said Hitomi as she led them to the tailors office.

Hitomi laughed when she saw Yukari figeting while she was being measured for a gown, Amano was also in a similar predicament looking at elaborate oufit he was supposed to wear. It was their turn to smirk as Van handed Hitomi the dress to put on so minor alterations could be made. Hitomi sighed as she was greeted by the chuckles of Van, Yukari and Amano as she began to figet while small alterations were being made to her dress.

Merle walked down the hall of the palace, she had finally come back form the forest where she had spent the night last night thinking about Van and Hitomi. Merle came to a set of doors and she quietly opened them to reveal Hitomi, Van and Yukari and someone else she hadn't met. Merle poked her head in and looked around greeted by Van, Hitomi and Yukari's relieved expressions and a look of suprise/panic on the person she didn't know face.

Despite earlier warnings from Yukari and Hitomi seeing Merle was quite a shock for Amano.

"Th-th-at's a cat person" stuttered Amano pointing a Merle with a shaking finger

"Oh you must be from the Mystic moon, you people sure do spook easy" replied Merle in a slightly annoyed tone.

Hitomi and Yukari just laughed as they watched Amano try and say something to Merle as he continued to point at her.

"Get a grip Amano that's Merle, Merle this is Amano" said Yukari impaiently tired of Amano's pointing.

"Nice to meet ya Amano" said Merle

"Nice to meet you to" replied Amano still a little shocked at the sight of a cat human

Looking at Amano's expression Yukari told him to get used to it there were a lot of animal people here and all different types.
~~~Later that day~~~~~~~

"Van?" asked Hitomi as she sat on the edge of her bed

"Yes, Hitomi?" replied Van as he rumaged around in some drawers looking for something

"Well you know how those pendants can call the light coloumn" said Hitomi

"What are you suggesting" replied Van continuing his search

"I think my parents should meet you" said Hitomi while she fingered the pendant around her neck. I hope he agrees because I don't think he'll be very happy if I wish him there anyway he's going to meet the folks and that's final Hitomi told herself

"Alright sounds resonable considering we're getting married." said Van as he pulled out a small package from the drawer her was searching

"Hitomi" said Van holding the package behind his back

"Yes" replied Hitomi wondering what he was up to

"I want to give you this" said Van as he handed Hitomi the package

Hitomi slowly opened the box and took the bracelet out of the fabric it was resting on.

"Van it's beautiful thank you" said Hitomi as she admired the bracelet, it resembled a silver dragon the clasp being it's claws that hooked to a loop at the end of it's tail. Hitomi examined the bracelet carefully and also noticed it had two emerald eyes.

"I thought you would like it, it was my mothers" replied Van as he watched her admire the bracelet

"Well are you ready" asked Hitomi

"Ready for what?"replied Van nevously

"To meet my parents silly" said Hitomi as she held up her pendant

"Oh right" said Van as he held up his.

Soon after two familar light coloumns appeared taking Hitomi and Van to the Mystic moon.

"Van where are you" yelled Merle as she walked toward his room. Merle opened the door and was suprised to find no one, that's odd he's not anywher neither is Hitomi Merle thought as she noticed a piece of paper on the table. Dear Merle, Yukari and Amano, We've gone to meet Hitomi's parents and tell them about the wedding be back later signed Van and Hitomi Merle sighed a ran off to go and tell Amano and Yukari.

Van and Hitomi were dumped uncermoniously in a park not far from where Hitomi lived. Memo to self work on landing point Hitomi told herself as she began to lead Van to her house. Hitomi knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it. Soon after her little brother opened the door and stared at Hitomi and Van.

"Mom, dad Hitomi's home and she brought a boy with her" yelled her little brother into the house

Soon after the sound of footsteps could be heard as Hitomi's mother and father reached the door

"Hitomi where in the world have you been we've been so worried about you" scolded Hitomi's mother

"Mom it's a long story let's sit down and I'll tell you about it" replied Hitomi as she led a nervous Van into the house.

After going to the living room and everyone was seated Hitomi began with introductions

"Mom, dad this is Van, Van this is my mother and father" said Hitomi

"It's nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Kanzaki" said Van

"It is nice to meet you to Van" replied Mrs. Kanzaki

"Mom dad I'm going to tell you something that you may not believe is true but I can assure you it is" said Hitomi as she began to tell the story of her first adventure to Gaea and her current one.

Hitomi's parents sat there stunned not knowing wheter or not to believe her story.

"Honey are you sure your okay" asked Hitomi's mother concerned

"Mom that was a true story Van would you mind showing them your wings so they might believe that the story was true." asked Hitomi

"Alright" said Van as the white wings came out of his back

"Then the story was true" said Hitomi's father as he looked a Van's wings amazed.

Van merely sighed and retracted his wings, there goes another shirt, well it was worth it these are Hitomi's parents. Memo to self take off shirt first he thought.

"Van would you care to tell them why we're here" asked Hitomi

"Gladly" replied Van as he put his arm around her waist.

Hitomi smiled at her fiance as she watched him try and pick the right words to break the news

"Mr. and Mrs. Kanzaki Hitomi and I are getting married" said Van nervously

Apon hearing this news Mr and Mrs. Kanzaki's mouthes hit the floor so to speak.

"Mom, dad would you like to be at the wedding considering it's on Gaea" asked Hitomi not very pleased with her parents reaction

"Why of course dear! When is it" asked Hitomi's parents

"In a week" replied Van causally

"A week!" exclaimed Hitomi's parents "That's not a lot of time"

"Mom dad how about we just go now and you can stay in Fanelia for the time being" asked Hitomi

"Alright, but what about your little brother?" said Mrs. Kanzaki

"He's coming too, get packed we'll leave in an hour" replied Hitomi "Come on Van I want to show you something" said Hitomi as she led Van out side.

Hitomi led Van down a street till they came to a small jewelry store where Hitomi directed Van inside.

"Van I feel Merle seems a little sad so I think we should get her a present to try and cheer her up" said Hitomi as she began inspecting some necklaces.

"That's a good idea" said Van as he followed Hitomi around the store.

"Van this is perfect" said Hitomi as she pointed to a beautiful emerald necklace "do you think Merle would like it?"

"I think she would" replied Van as he watched Hitomi pay for it with a small gold card.

"What's that?" Van asked Hitomi pointing to the credit card

"It's a credit card you can use it to buy stuff" explained Hitomi as they walked back to her parents house.As they walked in they were greeted by Hitomi's parents and her little brother.

"We're ready" said Mr. Kamzaki

"Well here we go" said Hitomi as she and Van took out their pendants and wished the entire group to Fanelia.

"Wow what's that!" exclaimed Merle as an especially large light coloumn appeared.

Van and Hitomi brushed themselves off while the rest of the Knzaki family looked around very shocked.

"Well I'll be damnned" said Mr.Kanzaki as he looked a the royal gardens of Fanelia's palace.

"Welcome to Fanelia family" said Hitomi as she looked at them sitting on the ground.

Slowly the Kanzaki's got up and followed Van and Hitomi into the palace. The family was even more suprised when they found out Van was the king, Hitomi a neglected to mention this when she told them about Fanelia and Gaea.

As the group walked into the palace the were greeted by a certain cat human.

"Lord Van there you are I'm glad your back!" exclaimed Merle

The Kanzaki's not having to benefit of an early warning about collasped when they saw Merle.

"Th-th-th-at's a cross between a human and a c-c-at" Hitomi's little brother said stuttering

Merle was getting rather annoyed with all these people from the Mystic moon who freaked whenever they saw her.

"Mom, dad, squrit this is Merle, Merle this is my family they've never seen a cat person before sorry" said Hitomi

The Kanzaki's just followed Hitomi, Van and Merle speechless , being transported to another planet then seeing a cat human was a little much for one day.
~~~~~~~~The next day~~~~~~~~~~

Mr. and Mrs. Kanzaki were finally adjusting to the new planet and being fitted for clothes for the wedding. Hitomi's little brother who became known as squirt was playing with Merle who was all to happy to oblige. The wedding was in six days and there were still preperations to be made Hitomi was hard at work writing a few invitations while Yukari was busy with her dress. Van was in a meeting and Amano was walking in the garden trying to escape the hustle and bustle in the palace Van and Hitomi insited on Amano and Yukari having a wedding on Gaea and were going to great lengths to make sure everything worked smoothly seeing they had their own wedding to attend to.

Van sat in his meeting listing to them give him the reports on the kingdom and it's resources, things in demand, things not in demand, things needed that are not readily available Van was struggling to pay attention till a messenger came in.

"Your highness the delegations from Austoria and Freid have arrived." said the messenger

"Tell Hitomi to go and greet them I shall be there shortly" said Van as he dismissed the messenger with a wave of his hand.

Around thirty minutes later the meeting had ended and Van had gone to find Hitomi and the delegations from Freid and Austoria.

Van found them in the garden talking, it was good to see Allen, Milerna and Prince Cid again.

"Hello Allen, Queen Milerna and Prince Cid welcome to Fanelia" said Van with a small smile on his lips

"Van sit down" said Hitomi pointing to an empty spot on the bench beside her. Van was happy to oblige.

"It is good to see you all again" said Van

"It's good to see you too, you have done a great job rebuilding Fanelia it's wonderful" said Allen

"Thank you" replied Van

The group continued to talk until Merle and squirt joined them.

"Hi Merle, who is that with you?" asked Allen

"He's Hitomi's little brother, his name is John but everyone calls him squirt." said Merle as she and squirt sat down. "Squirt this is Allen, Queen Milerna and Prince Cid."

"It's nice to meet you all" replied squirt

"It's nice to meet you too" replied Prince Cid

Afterwards Hitomi and Milerna went to talk, Allen and Van left to spar and Merle, squirt and Prince Cid went to watch them.
~~~~~~~~~~4 days later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yukari and Amano's wedding was today and Van and Hitomi had gone to go gather their family and friends on the Mystic moon. After everyone had been brought back to Gaea and grown slightly accustommed to the different world the wedding started. Amano fingered the border of the jacket he was wearing waiting for Yukari to come down the aisle. Yukari walked down the aisle nevously then she and Amano said their vows followed by a party where everyone got to know each other better. Hitomi breathed sigh of relief her best friend's wedding had gone perfectly, it was only a small ceremony but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Van saw Hitomi watching the festivities but not joining in them so he led Hitomi to the party and began to dance with her.
~~~~~~~~~~~2 Days later~~~~~~

Hitomi paced in her room restlessly it was her wedding day and she was nothing but a bundle of nerves even though everything was going as planned. Hitomi sighed and looked at the dress she was wearing her mother and Yukari tried to reassure her everything would be fine but she couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen.
