The Vision of Escaflowne AU

Part 2. 

Hey! Here's part 2. I know, short, but I wanted to write it and have 
all of you read it. Well, enjoy!

appear in this fanfic that never appeared in Escaflowne 


Once school was out and Van had attended his student council 
meeting, he decided to check out the new wrestling room. He had heard 
from his best friend Seiya that they had built a new one. It stood 
right next to the track field (Ed. note: Van is attending the same 
school that Hitomi attends in the series). 

Somehow, once he got there, he discovered that the door was 
unlocked. Van stepped inside and took a look around. It looked like 
all wrestling rooms did. The only difference was that this wrestling 
room didn't have trophys or pictures of the greatest wrestlers that 
this school had. It had it's padded floor and space for the other 
wrestlers off to the side. 

Van stopped looking around when there was a sudden flash of light. 
He gasped and quickly ran out of the room to investigate this sudden 
flash. 

The light had vanished but in its place was someone on the floor. 
This person didn't look like he or she was from town. This person was 
dressed in rather strange clothes. 

Van flinched when the person moved to get up. To Van's astonishment 
the person was a girl. She had boy short golden brown hair, and 
astonishing green eyes. They were as green as emeralds and just as 
round. Even with these features the girl still looked like a tomboy. 

" Goa tahui sity sero?" the girl asked in a weird language. 

For some strange reason Van understood that language." You're in 
Tokyo, at my school, who are you?" Van asked with patience. 

That's all. Again, sorry for it being so short but at least I 
introduced you know who. Please review and I'll have part 3 up soon.

Hey everybody! Here's the rest of part 2. I didn't get to finish it 
before because of time. Well, enjoy!

The girl stood defensivly. She looked around at her surroundings. 

Van got quite annoyed and decided to ask her again." Who are you?" 

The girl looked at Van and seemed to understand his language, 
dispite how she talked not to long ago. 

" My name is Hitomi Fanel. Who are you?" 

" My name is Van Kanzaki. Why are you dressed like that?" 

Obviously the girl took it as an insult because of the way she 
answered him." I'm wearing this because I'm on a mission that has now 
been spoiled by you." 

Van frowned at her." What did I do to interupt your mission?" 

" You brought me to this strange land." 

" Are you nuts!? This is Earth, where every human being belongs!" 

Now it was the girls turn to frown." Earth? I know no Earth. I 
belong on Gaea." 

Van now thought her to be crazy. He was going to ask more about 
her when he heard a srange rumbling noise. 

Van looked around." What is that noise?" 

Van looked over at the girl and saw her eyes widen." The dragon 
followed me!" she responded. 

" Dr-dragon?" Van looked around more until more light blinded him. 
When the light cleared, the dragon the girl was talking about, stood 
there. It looked really hungry. 

" Run away! I'll deal with this dragon!" Hitomi called to him. 

" And how are you going to do that?!" 

" Don't argue, just run!" 

Van hesistated, then decided to listen. He ran for the temple at 
the top of the hill that was right next to the school. He could hear 
the girl attacking the dragon with what sounded like a sword. 

He also heard loud thump noises that sounded like the dragon 
running. The more Van heard it, the closer it sounded. 

Van didn't hesitate to run faster. Finally he reached the top of 
the temple hill. 

He leaned on one of the pillars to catch his breath. The tumping 
got louder as he stood there. Van desperatly looked around and 
discovered that there was no where to run. He began to panic. 

" You're not getting away from me!" Van heard a voice yell. He 
knew instantly that it was the girl. 

Out of nowhere appeared the dragon with Hitomi not to far behind. 
She kept charging at it with her sword. No matter how many times she 
sruck, the dragon wouldn't die. 

The girl stood there, trying to catch her breath. Hitomi stared at 
the dragon with eyes that could have read " I WILL kill you!" The 
dragon stood there, staring back at Hitomi with eyes that could have 
read " Just try it." 

Van looked from the dragon to Hitomi and back to the dragon. It 
was almost as if the dragon and the girl had some kind of mind link. 

Finally, Hitomi charged at the dragon and while dodging one of its 
attacks, struck the sword in just the right place. Its heart. 

Van gagged as he saw the green blood splatter all over the girl. 
Once it was totally dead the girl walked up to the dragon and made 
the wound bigger. 

" What are you doing?" Van asked. 

" I need to take the energist as proof," she answered as she stuck 
her hand inside. She brought it out and in her hand, held a beautiful 
pink stone. Once the pink stone was extracted, the dragon turned to 
dust. The green goo also vanished off the girl. 

Van walked up to the girl to examine the stone more closely. It 
was like nothing he had ever seen. 

He flinched away when the stone began to glow. 

" What's going on?" Van asked. 

" I don't know. Why would the stone be glowing?" 

A column of light appeared and both were whisked away towards the 
heavens.
