The Vision of Escaflowne AU

Part 1. 
Disclaimer: I don't own Escaflowne but I do own any character that 
doesn't appear in Escaflowne but does appear in my fanfic. 

Van woke up to what could have been a dream. It had to be. None of 
it could could have been real. He had to have imangined it. 

In his dream he was standing out in a field, standing in front of a 
burning town. A town that didn't look like any place he had ever seen 
on Earth. It had a huge castle in the middle of it. 

He turned around when he heard loud stomp noises. He gasped when he 
saw the huge giant. It was creamy white and with a beautiful pink 
stone for a heart. It was majestic with it's long cape and big sword. 

More of those giants suddenly appeared and began fighting with the 
white giant. 

That was when he woke up. His alarm clock had startled him, sending 
shivers down his spine. 

Van quickly got out of bed and dressed in his uniform. He wore a 
white shirt under, then put his black pants and black overcoat on. 

Once dressed he decended the stairs and headed for the kitchen 
where he saw his mom making breakfast. 


" Morning sweety," his mom, Mrs. Kanzaki greeted as she walked 
towards him. She gave him a peck on his cheek and went and served his 
breakfast of eggs and rice on the table." Here's your breakfast." 

Van smiled and sat down. He stared at his mom as she made breakfast 
for his brother Mamoru and hid dad. She was a mom like many others. A 
simple housewife with simple tastes. Her favorite hobby was to collect 
little angel statues and place them on top of the fireplace. 

" Mamoru! Wake up! You'll be late for school!" Van's mom yelled. 

Van got up to wash his dish as he heard his brother run down the 
stairs and quickly sit down for breakfast. Mamoru began to wolf down 
his entire plate saying that if he didn't hurry he would be late. 

" I'm leaving for school now mom. I'll be back at 5 since I have a 
student council meeting after school," Van called from the door. He 
stepped out as he heard his mom say okay. 

Right outside his door was his best friend Seiya Kamichi. 

" Hey Seiya," greeted Van. 

" Hey Van." 

They began walking to school, both enjoying the warmth of the sun 
and the songs from the birds in the trees. 

" Hey Van, are you going to try out for basketball?" 


Van had thought about basketball but decided it wasn't for him. 
" No, I don't think that I will. I want to try out for wrestling. 
Maybe that will impress Yukari," Van thought with a grin. 

Seiya only shook his head." You still haven't given up on her man. 
I can't believe you. Didn't I already tell you that she likes Amano. 
She'll never like you in that way." 

" I don't care. There has to be some way to impress her," Van said. 
He began to get into one of those poses that those body builders do. 
" Maybe if she saw how strong I was she would notice me and forget all 
about Amano." 

Again Seiya shook his head. 

Once they arrived at school they parted ways. Van walked to his 
algebra class feeling that somehow today was going to be different....

Alright! I wrote it. Sorry if it was so short or really boring but I 
felt I had the right to describe alot of stuff since this is an 
alternate universe fanfic. Well, did you like, did you like? Tell me 
what you thought about it. Personally I feel like I did an awesome 
job. I have never written a fanfic with more description than I did 
this one. I'll have part 2 up soon. I think I'll cal this one " The 
vision of Escaflowne Au." (alternate universe) Not very original is 
it? Oh well. Again, tell me if you liked it.
