Please R&R!! ________________________________________________________ Icy rainwater cut through her skin. She shivered, but continued on, mainly because at this point there was no other option. She wanted freedom, and she got it. She didn't want to be a part of the royal family, and now she wasn't. She had not expected, however, to be completely homeless, lost, and alone. She had wanted to be a normal citizen, not a princess in an arranged marriage. Then some Zaibach asshole named Dilandau Albatou burned her country down, killing everyone except her. She had refused to do as her father commanded and ran into the forest. Her parents weren't the least bit concerned, knowing that before darkness fell, she'd be back home. They thought she couldn't last five minutes on her own. Eventually, as it began to rain, she had to accept the fact that, without shelter, there was no way she could last on her own, so she began to walk back home. The sight horrified her, and made her sick to her stomach. The entire country was blanketed in fire, yellow-orange flames reaching out and licking the smoky crimson sky. Blood. So much blood. Blood everywhere. Death, destruction, chaos. And there he stood. In the middle of it all, laughing. Of all things, laughing. An insane, sadistic laugh that would make even the most brave soldier cower. Then he left, in a red Alseides, with several other guymelefs following him. She knew that he was the infamous Dilandau, the Dragon Slayer captain, obsessed with destruction. But she thought that surely the rumor had been exaggerated. Surely no one could be that sadistic. But he was. He was worse than any rumor had ever been. Tears mixed with rainwater at the thought of her beloved country, family and friends. Would it have been so bad? It wasn't like other princesses didn't have to do what she did. She had good family, friends she loved dearly. But she had been too blind to see that, seeing only the petty discomforts. Now they were gone. All gone. She should have been with them. She should have died too. What was the point of her survival? For her to suffer? No, she had to believe that something would come of this. There had to be a reason for this. Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice cutting through the silence. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" Now comes the fun part for you! Vote in your reviews: Who found her? a. Folken b. Dilandau c.
