History of Exit Isle:
I have been working on a special series of small paintings entitled "Exit Isle", featuring tiki heads from a forgotten island located southeast of Bora Bora, these tiki heads are actually painted renditions of grave markers of the lost race of Exit Isle natives.  The people of Exit Isle are a fascinating group and shared a few interesting things in common with each other; they were all over 6'5" tall, they all lived entirely on fruit and fish and surprisingly were most notable for their acting abilities.  They were all avid actors on the island and would put on a new play weekly, people from surrounding islands would flock to Exit Isle to see them perform.  The most odd part of their history is that when their island got hit by Hurricane Webster all natives passed except for one.  Luckily for us the remaining fellow was a master carpenter (aka Set Maker), he made his life's mission to craft all of his friends & family's likenesses into the tiki heads that he then placed over their graves.  He even carved his own, although he was not buried underneath it, he did manage to curl up next to his own grave marker before passing away.
