JUDAS IN BLUE JEANS,2004
I think of the touch of her
And she framed in the gaze,
That once held mine
The more now haunts me,
What healer is time?
The enemy of beauty,
Theif of faith in loving,
Murderer of mind.
Are you madly hopelessly,
Helplessly, desperately
In love with her?
Do you still see my eyes
As sleep drowns in dreams?
Are you yet amazed?
This empty pride is death,
That cannot utter to relieve
Its bitter yearning.
Did you win it to lose it?
Bracelet of wire
That encircles desire,
As flames climb higher
Engulfing all around.
Still in my crazy head,
The words you said
Judas in blue jeans,
Isis in my smile.
Bird of Sorrow, 2004
Falling
I can smell the edge now,
Close as fear,
That prickles hair
As wind rips dreams.
Your thoughts I taste,
Like breeding storm,
Obscured horizon,
Black as blue.
Turn to step once,
Back to view
And flailing, falling,
Needing you,
Cold heart failing,
Fades my star,
Snuffed-out nightmares,
Dreams are war.
Through rushing rooms,
These forests born,
Branched  promises,
From  wicked spawn.

Humbled by the peace, I weave through twisted trees,
Mist-teased leaves, mind magic on the mound.
Funny how the silence speaks, when you're all alone,
Eyes inside, wide-open, feel the sound.
