| Tobie Ear is 13 years old and is in the 7th grade at Morley Community School. He is the son of Gavin and was brought up in part by the rest of the family. Tobie has a genuine love for singing and dancing at pow-wows. He has been around the drum group all of his life and is now in-training to become a lead singer. Tobie is already an awesome singer and Anders has already asked him to lead a few songs at pow-wows. Thanks to Lisa and Bunny Many Bears and their beautiful beadwork, he began dancing northern traditional in April of 2005. He won first place at his very first pow-wow dancing in Chilliwack, BC and has placed at a couple other pow-wows since. Tobie is a proud member of the Bearspaw Band of the Nakoda Nation and his dream is become the chief of the Bearspaw Band one day. Other than pow-wows, he is deeply involved in his culture and has a strong belief in the ways of the Nakoda people. Tobie is also known for his love of hunting as he caught many small game as well as big game at a very young age. He is also interested in fishing, skateboarding, snowboarding, golf, paintball, movies, heavy metal music and hanging out with the other boys in our family. |
