Hi all. To be fair to any fans out there that are interested in our song development, I thought i'd throw together this little diary to tell you what is goin on. All I hope is you enjoy reading about our developments/headaches/arguments and hope to see you somewhere on our next gig. Keep on Rockin! Cerian - Titan Zero 19th July 2003 Tears in my eyes - Words by Toby Brandon and Huw Andrews, Music by Cerian Powell. This song was completed late last year, dont ask me when. This is actually our first EVER song. The words are kinda punky, but I managed to rock it up a bit, to become the mighty song we play today. The song is well put together, with a really flashy, fast solo. I hope you enjoy it Titan fans. Soulmate - Words by Huw Andrews, Music by Cerian Powell. This song was completed around June time. It has many timing changes which makes it exciting and great to listen to. For the first time our rhythm gutarist john pitts contributed, by coming up with the interlude. Gareth Gordon also has a pretty evil, aggressive solo on the bass, which leads nicely into a 30-40 second maiden type solo. Ends how it starts with a slow, resonating riff with spoken outro lyrics - Scary lol! A really good song Mechanical Evolution - Words and Music by Cerian Powell. I came up with this song at about christmas time. I originally came up with the name as i was looking at my "mechanics" maths book, and the name just came together. Its all about the evil evolution of the world from mechanical beings thats have been created in the evolution. From its calm, spooky intro, its blasts into the chorus and then verse. Again, solos apleanty, and tight rhythm from John, Mark and Gareth. One to look out for, Should be a chart topper some day lol! No seriously, a good song. Darkside of Light - Words and Music by Cerian Powell. As the name suggests, this tells the tale of the evil, and ghastly side of light. Again, the song is introduced with a very spooky, but musically endeering intro, and the moody is carried out throughout the song. This song could be classed as an epic, as when completed, should last for several minutes. This is another to look out for, should liven up a bored crowd, not that they will be bored mind you Titan fans. The Patriot - Words and Music by Cerian Powell Not a dark song for a change, but quite a lively number telling the tale of a patriot who would do absolutely everything for his country. Starting from the heavy intro, the song carries on through with speed and agility. With a solo lasting over 40 seconds, and an after solo riff containing all three guitarists, this makes for one great number. Listen in our next gig for this one, but dont be late, should be performed first. Birth of the Titans - Words and Music by Cerian Powell. This is probably the most heavy of the heavy metal songs we play. A great intro, layerd with dark lyrics, breaks into the verse from a short, but a high impact riff. The verse is played fast, and lyrics peer over the top. Two solos make up the middle section, and a really intense chorus breaks up the speed in between the verses. As this will be our title track for our first album, I think the name is quite clever. The song also consists of a very melodic slow section, which shows that the band arn't all about solos and riffs, but we can play other types of music too. I predict good things for this song. Until the next installment, I give you this one message : "Rock hard, play well, and do everything i wouldnt do, cause i dont do alot". Anyway, Till next Time, Keep on Rockin!
