14/09/03 Fucking hell this lag is big. Seem to be making a habbit of it. It seems the only time I actually get to do this is at fuckin midnight. Much has happened in the Titan camp amazingly. First off we played a gig at Hilltop loggy with "Lekta" and "8 minutes down". A great time was had by all the bands and the metalheads that showed their faces...although some of them really shoulda stayed hidden John-Ross!!Not only did we play alongside possibly the closest guys the valleys have to metal gods we actually impressed them.Yes!Lekta appeared to thoroughly enjoy our set, cheered my evil bass solo in "Soulmate" and Gavin then proceeded to help Toby with the vocal chores to Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" and finally bowed down before apparent guitar legend in the making Sheep when we finished our set!! It was an awsome compliment to us for those guys to show us so much respect! Cheers guys! For those of you haven't heard/heard of Lekta find them/hear them at www.lekta.co.uk We've added a few songs to our cover list, such as Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness" and "Prayer". Sheep has been busy down in "common land central" working his arse off on a few songs. The likes of "Birth of the Titans" "Im coming home" "The Patriot" and "Mechanical Evolution" can soon be heard in our set-list.There are many songs in the pipelines still...Huw has produced more promising lyrics and I myself am writing a song, which looks set to bring Gopher's own brand of evil into our music.Sheep is still grazing around many an unfinished riff and idea so it wont be long before we have an entire setlist of our own material!Could be a good thing...I hope. See ya'll on the 27th of September where we will be again joined by Lekta. Gopher 25/06/03 Sorry about the news lag peoples but I've been recovering from the Download Festival at Donnington. Well...I wish i had been recovering but really we've all been pretty busy with exams and other "stuffs". We managed to finish our rather "maidenesque" song which has been entitled "Soulmate" which was generally a collaborative effort with the lyrics and general song concept being provided by Mr.Drummer. "OH NO!!" i hear you cry?? Don't worry Huw broke the trend of todays modern bands...yes the drummer wrote a song that isn't 200% horseshit! Now all we need is Toby to get off his fat arse and learn the words to the song. GIG ALERT!!! 5 July we'll be rocking rather hardly at the Log Cabin in Hilltop Ebbw Vale...Join us from 6pm onwards - bring your mates and a couple of cans and a good time wil be had by all! See ya there - Gopher 03/05/03 After 3 hours of what was an unusually productive practice we have a near finished song. Can't reveal much at this point but it promises to be an immensely dramatic piece. Strangely reminiscent of Maiden's "Dream Of Mirrors". On the "Maiden" I'm pretty hyped due to the fact only 28days left until Donnington!! As is our lead guitarist sheep. Mark and John managed to leave out allot of their ritualistic arsing about and did much more work. We're thinking of adding Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness" to our cover list also. Keep checking back with me and the main site as we've got so much in the pipeline we might actually do something interesting soon. 15/04/03 Welcome, this is the 1st of what hopefully will be many posts. As were relatively a new band there's not allot to report. So I'm going to enlighten you on some of our achievements to date. Having tolerated many mentally grueling rehearsals, (what's that I hear? "How can a rehearsal be grueling?" Trust me if you had to "work" with this bunch of psychopaths taking a piss is grueling!!) we managed to throw together some half decent cover songs and and write one song of our own...many more are in the works but as we're all bogged down with fuckloads of work from these poxy As-Levels - time is a commodity we don't have much of. SO FAR: Covers Queensryche - The Needle Lies Iron Maiden - The Wickerman, The Trooper, Wrathchild (well, sort of :S). Black Sabbath - Paranoid Ozzy - Crazy Train Own Work Tears In My Eyes - Written By: Toby Brandon/Cerian Powell Performances: We did a small time birthday party effort to which hardly anyone turned up, played the above list and made plenty of cock-ups but hey it's our first show...we're allowed them, I blew up my bass amp an hour before the show!! HAHA! We rigged it through an old 4x12 cabinet we found at our rehearsal venue and later (*after my poor amp's death*) found it to be a 4ohm cabinet and my amp had a minimum impedance of 8ohm. So naturally it overheated and died. We ended up rigging my bass through our backing vocals amp and as a result you couldn't hear my singing... which was probably a good thing the way my voice was that night.
