C-4 Table Death Match
MD: My, look at those instruments of destruction sitting at ringside. Four tables, waiting to be destroyed by human bodies.
FJ: Let’s not forget, those aren’t normal tables. The bottoms are lined with C4 explosives, imported from Japan especially for this match at Josh Sutton’s request.
MD: Fans, if you’ve missed it, this begins the best of seven Death matches between Xtreme Rebel and the United States champion, Josh Sutton.
::‘Revolution’ plays over the PA. The fans jump to their feet as “Xtreme Rebel” Matt Scheffert and “Da Man” Ryan Knite make their way to the ring. They survey the tables then stand at the bottom of the ramp, awaiting the Controlling Factor members.::
MD: I get the feeling that this one may never even make it to the ring, Flaps.
FJ: The same thought just crossed my mind.
::‘Until It Sleeps’ now takes its turn on the PA system. Josh Sutton and Dan Baker race down the ramp. Sutton meets with Scheffert as Baker goes at it with Knite.::
MD: We’ve got a 3D/CF showdown right here!
FJ: There won’t be any wristlocks or hip tosses in this one, folks!
::Rebel pounds Sutton into the guardrail, laying into him with a succession of stomps and knees before turning to help Knite with Baker. Baker tries his hardest to fight the two 3D members off, but their fisticuffs reign down on him as well. Sutton pulls himself off the guardrails and shoulder tackles Scheffert to the floor, nailing him with a flurry of right hands. Knite, Baker and a steel chair move into the ring.::
DING DING DING
MD: Apparently we were just proved wrong. They’re in the ring and this match is officially underway.
FJ: I can guarantee it won’t stay there long.
::Knite drives the butt of the chair into Baker’s forehead, knocking him to the canvas. Dan shows resilience and gets up quickly, giving the go ahead for a loud cracking chair shot from Knite. Instead of falling Baker falls back into the ropes, using them for support. Knite comes charging toward the corner but Josh Sutton runs along the apron, hitting him with a clothesline! Knite falls to the canvas and Josh catapults into the ring with a beautiful leg drop!::
MD: Where the hell did Sutton come from?
FJ: He incapacitated Rebel on the outside. Scheffert is down.
MD: His partner isn’t faring too well either.
::Josh picks up the steel chair, hitting the mat with it as he awaits Knite. From the far right corner you can see Xtreme Rebel climb onto the ring apron. Sutton turns just in time to take a face full of steel following a beautiful springboard dropkick from the Rebel! The chair goes flying to the canvas as Sutton hits the mat. Baker and Rebel both make a sprint for the chair. Rebel gets there first but Dan catches him with a hard knee to the chin, sending him dwindling back. Dan picks up the chair and hits a home run shot on the head of the Xtreme Rebel.::
MD: You know, I wasn’t expecting drop toe holds and top wristlocks but this is a little much, wouldn’t you say, my balding buddy?
FJ: Alright! Cut it with the hair jokes!
MD: Man, with stress like yours the hair just skipped the graying process and fell right out.
::Knite is waiting on Baker as he turns around. Knite explodes with a lariat that drives the back of the chair into Dan’s face, sending him immediately to the canvas and the chair flying to the outside of the ring. Knite drops out to the floor and begins throwing in a slew of weapons. As he finishes on weapons detail a frying pan, several chairs, a small bag, and a finely finished wooden folding chair.::
MD: This one is about to get messy.
FJ: Well, Heaven forbid a death match get messy.
::Sutton and Scheffert exchange punches in the corner as Knite re-enters the ring. Ryan picks up one of the steel chairs and charges the corner with it, sandwiching the two men. Sutton takes the worst of it as his head collided with the chair. Rebel and Knite pick Josh up and whip him to the ropes, attempting to double back drop him onto one of the C4 tables on the outside. Sutton lands short of the ropes, but unfortunately for him, he landed on his head.::
MD: Sutton’s going to have a major headache after that one.
FJ: Yeah, maybe you should leave and go get him some aspirin.
::Dan Baker rallies to his feet. Knite and Rebel beat him back into the ropes with a combined effort of kicks and punches. With Baker dazed 3D pick him up and toss him over the ropes. A half of a second later a loud BOOOOOOM echoes through the arena. Smoke engulfs the ringside area.::
MD: Ouch! Dan Baker is the first to suffer the Japanese C4.
FJ: And now, Josh Sutton is all alone.
MD: I think it’s fair to say that Third Dimension has a favorable advantage in this match.
::CRACK! Ryan Knite hits the mat at the hands of Sutton and a brutal chair shot. Scheffert takes a shot to the head and he too falls. Sutton raises the chair up and brings it down repeatedly over the back and head of Knite then tosses it to the canvas, turning his attention to Rebel. Scheffert gets to his feet and Sutton lunges forward. Both of them fly over in a hangman’s clothesline, both landing a few feet away from a C4 table.::
MD: Here we go again….
FJ: Sutton has got to work fast and pull at all the stops to get this done.
::Sutton feeds Scheffert into the steel guardrail and kicks away at him until he’s at a seated position. Josh proceeds to pick up a chair and pelt the Rebel in the face with it, following it up with his trademark knee to the sternum. The fans boo loudly as Josh taunts and returns to the ring as Knite is returning to his feet.::
MD: Sutton is boding well thus far in this two-on-one affair.
FJ: You make it sound so perverse… I kind of like it.
MD: O…kay
::Knite explodes to his feet and tackles Josh to the mat, lacerating his forehead with some stiff right hands. Knite is back to his feet and he’s on fire, dropping Josh with three consecutive clotheslines and a beautiful running dropkick that drops him out onto the apron. Knite clarifies his intentions to the crowd and they pop loudly.::
MD: Sutton’s gonna take the plunge!
FJ: No! Come on, Sutton!
::Knite charges forward, looking to knock Josh from the apron. Josh drops to the apron, pulling down the top rope and Knite flies over, smashing through the table as another echoing BOOOOOM hits the arena!::
FJ: Sutton outsmarted him! Hahahaha!
MD: A lucky craps shoot from Sutton as he narrowly avoids being put through the table.
FJ: We’re down to the two men who enrolled into this tour of pain.
::Sutton stumbles down the ring apron before trying to climb back in through the ropes. Matt meets him with a knee to the face keeping Josh on the outside. Scheffert flips over the ropes, grabbing his foes legs and sends Sutton to the floor with a flipping powerbomb. Matt starts to lay into Josh again with forearms.::
MD: These two are out to kill each other on the first night.
FJ: Well I suppose if your opponent is in the hospital they forfeit the match.
::Matt rolls Sutton back into the ring. He moves one of the remaining two tables so that its flush with the ring apron. After doing this the Rebel rolls into the ring and into the stiff boots of Josh Sutton. Sutton tries to power Scheffert over the ropes, but he won’t go. Matt fights it off with a few elbows and whips josh across the ring. He catches the CF member with a spinning heel kick. Matt drags Sutton to the corner. He climbs behind him and clutches at Josh’s neck. Scheffert leaps off, but Josh goes down to a knee and delivers a tremendous atomic drop in desperation. HE pushes Matt to the ropes nearest the deadly table then whips him across the ring. Matt takes one step then turns and reverses it on Sutton. As he comes back at the Rebel, Matt grabs him and plants his feet on Sutton’s quads. He rolls backwards and kicks Josh into the air. He flails over the top rope and…BOOOOOOOM! Right onto the table.::
MD: Oh…that’s got to hurt like mad! This one is over, with Knite and Scheffert of Third Dimension getting the win.
FJ: Blowing up your opponent could be a very useful thing for the future of this sport. It would help get rid of some of the weaker ones.
MD: And Matt Scheffert takes the first match in the best of seven series with Sutton. I can’t imagine what we may have to witness if this thing goes the whole seven.
::‘Revolution’ hits, as Knite and Scheffert make their way from ringside. Both men appear to be nursing slight injuries, but they still celebrate, as they head up the ramp. The scene fades.::
