Church hopper:

Please explain to me why it is wrong, and un-biblical to be a Church Hopper?  A church Hopper defined is simply on who goes from church to church to attend, whether it is week to week or for seasons in life.  The Christian does not stay planted in one single local church.

If I understand correctly the current teaching on the church hopper is that one should not go from church to church for a few reasons.  One because all Christians need to e plugged into the local church covering, and they need to serve at their home church, everyone needs a home church.  Because if you are not covered under your local authority then your out of the will of God for your life, and the blessings of God are not on you.  2)  If one goes to many different churches with opposing teaching, you may become confused in doctrine and not understand the word of God when you hear it.

The bible doesnt say either way, so both could work.????????

If you dont minister outside of the church, then the church could be a good avenue, so that you are still doing the work, under another mans vision, either way, the work of God is being done.

I would have to say the bible to my knowledge does not mention being plugged into a local church.  Ive read the New Testament and I cant find any teaching concerning the covering and authority of the local church.  Neither does the bible say that we should go from church to church and travel all the time.  So Im left to reason that all our teaching on the local covering of the church is tradition and not bible truth.  Neither can I say that its not biblical to go to a local church organization as we have them set up toady, and even look at that as your authority.  Because God will always use what we give him and meet us where we are.  But it is not the way that the first church did it, and when the bile talks about the church and the leaders of the church, it does in no way stress the importance of sitting under one church and sitting under one pastor and serving one congregation.  Not to say that this is wrong, or some should not do this, but I do not believe that its a truth that we should all be committed to.  And the foundation of an church that is a member of any denomination automatically is cut off from the rest of the body of Christ on the most part.  Is that what Jesus wants? Divisions?

I do not believe that every Christian should be and is commanded of the Lord to be plugged into a local church and a local covering.  I thin that this way of doing church is certainly a good Idea, and it seems to work for the purpose it was placed.  But I do not see how this could possibly be biblically based as a commandment of the Lord.  I believe that it is a tradition that was created in the church by man, not by God.

Gods Will-
It is not Gods will that several church in any given area should all have different visions for their own church, visions which oppose each other and would work against each other, If a Christian or a person leaves a church to join another church because they are doing something different or more than the first church, then it would seem that the first church would be out of line.  All churches that are founded on the gospel of Christ and are under the authority of Jesus himself should all be doing the same thing.  If there not then some one is missing God, and we have to judge mans word up with the bible, if they dont match, the man is wrong.

Truth is more important than security and position and results.

Just because I disagree with man does not mean that Im in Rebellion to God!!!

****I know too much to go along with the way things are going now, you might not see a problem with it.  But I know to much not to******
