Heavens Wound

A cool beautiful mourning
On a beach never seen
Two young souls make a vow
To never be one again
Her heart was crushed
And his faith was strengthened
Little did he know
That he was the predator
And she was the prey
This is the day that
Heaven suffered a Wound
A long-term friendship
Was what they had shared
Until he decided she wasnt good enough for him
And so to her his heart he beared
She was hurt and confused and didnt understand
But have it as you will is what she declared
Finally he was free and had no chains
What he didnt know was that was just deception
Whispering in his ear
He thought she was foolish
And didnt understand the truth
So this would be the day
That heaven suffered a wound
As they spoke
She was broken in her soul
I go on a journey, he said
And you cannot go.
Im leaving with the man
In which you date his son
She argued saying
It doesnt have to end this way
Why are you being so dumb?
He simply shrugged and said with a tone
You dont understand what I have become
But the truth was she understood
And all to well
And from that day forth
Every time she cried and mourned
For her once friend
All of heaven came with comfort
As she mourned in her bed
In remembrance of the day
That Heaven suffered a wound.

I never understand why you love me so much, and Ill never turn my back on you again
