Buses


When a passenger count is given, that is what the California Highway Patrol (CHP) rates the capacity of that bus, three to a seat. Transportation will try to put only two to a seat any student who is in 5th grade or higher.
Unless otherwise stated, all frames (bus body) are made by Bluebird and the chassis by International.

Conventionals


24-3There are 102 of these 24 (ambulatory) + 3 (wheelchair) passenger (pax.)buses and 8 of the 8 (ambulatory) + 5 (wheelchair) pax. buses. You cannot tell the difference in these two buses from the outside.

48 paxThere are 164 of these 48 pax. (32 two to a seat) buses. They are the same length as the wheelchair buses (about 28 feet long).


66 pax.There are 56 of these 66 pax. (44 two to a seat) buses.
They are about 36 feet long.



Transits



84 pax bluebirdThere are 22 of these 84 pax. (56 two to a seat) buses.
They are 40 feet long.


Amtrans6/03/98 There are now 153 of these 84 pax. (56 two to a seat) buses. This is a prototype bus built totally by International (Amtrans) to our specifications. They are 40 feet long.
