| On Losing Minds |
| On Losing Minds I lost her mind, She gave it to me For safekeeping And I lost it. I sit retracing Patterns footsteps On the concrete streets. Where was I when I saw it last? Boy, is she gonna be mad When she finds out. Or will she even notice? She might just sit there In a coma, comma, space, pause Till I find it. I stop the world moving People stop mid-step, Traffic pauses. Rewind. There I was with it in my pocket, There is falls out. Was it blue or green Two minds rest together on the pavement. At least Im not the only one To loose a mind. Must have been the blue one, She was sad today. I brush it off carefully, And inspect it for scratches Hope that wasnt an important area. I put it back in my pocket Shove it deeper than it was before And rest my hand on it All the way home. I dont think Ill tell her. |
