Emergency Vehicle Kitbashes’
2004 Spring Expo
“Memorial Day Extravaganza”
Welcome to the First Annual Emergency Vehicle model show. This is an event much like the NNL, where you can share pictures of your current emergency related model project without worrying about prizes. The goal is to show off what’s on your workbench and get some helpful hints from everyone else.
The rules are simple: you must submit pictures (see below) to the email addresses below between May 14th and May 27th, 2004, and include a description (see below) of your scale emergency model. Those are the only rules that you must abide by. Don’t forget, the model must be related to an emergency topic, such as law enforcement, government (local, state, country), fire, EMS, et cetera.
This is the first of “many” such events, so please showcase your newest projects.
Entry start date: May 14th, 2004, at 0001 hours (12:01 am)
Entry deadline: May 27th, 2004, at 2359 hours EST, (11:59 pm)
Photographs: Please include a minimum of two photos, but a maximum of 4, per entry. The photographs should be able to capture both sides, the front, the back and the roof of the model.
Description: (please use this format so that everything can go smoothly)
· Your name (include email address)
· What the vehicle is (or who does it represent, links can be provided to actual vehicles)
· Scale
· What was it originally (i.e., Code 3 Pierce Dash top mount, AMT/Ertl Mack R, Testor Police Interceptor)
· Decal source (i.e., home made or commercial)
· Source for extra detail parts (i.e., Don Mills Hobbies, 10-8hobbies, scratch built)
· How long did it take you to complete the project
· A short paragraph on what you did.
(Yes, I know it’s a lot, but this way everyone gets to know more about your model.)
Please submit entries with completed descriptions to [email protected] on/after May 14th, 2004. If you need to mail 35mm prints, please contact the above address to make arrangements.
Pictures will be posted on or before May 31st, 2004 at http://public.fotki.com/evkitbashers/ and in the photos folder at the Emergency Vehicle Kitbashes Yahoo group.
