SPECIAL SERVICES
Service A: Manuscript evaluation
Will read and critique novels, short stories, non-fiction books and essays, poetry, and creative articles.
This service includes the standard editing service and offers, in addition: guidance on plot, characterization, dialogue, scene, continuity, fluidity, believability, narrative, point-of-view, etc. I offer in-depth criticism of the work in a separate file and can provide feedback and discussion about my notes and suggestions.
Qualifications: Received an MFA in creative writing from a top-10 program. Also served as fiction editor of national literary journal. Have critiqued many novels and creative works, as well as having written them myself.
Price: Editing service plus additional 25% cost. For example, if you’re using the 3-day turnaround and your per page fee is $4, then an added manuscript evaluation is an additional $1 per page, for a total of $5/pg.
Service B: Admissions essay advice/evaluation
Will read and critique admissions essays for both undergraduate and graduate admission (or relevant fellowships, scholarships, etc.) I can offer insight into how to make the essay fit the question better, be more convincing, "market" your skills better, etc.
Qualifications: Graduated from top-25 university at age 19. Was admitted to both undergraduate and graduate school at nationally renowned institutions.
Price (with one-week turnaround):
$40 for essays under 1000 words
$50 for essays of 1000-2000 words

Service C: Writing coach
In certain instances, I can serve as a coach throughout the writing process. This particularly works well when you’re working on a long work, such as a novel, where ongoing contact and advice is required.

Price: Payment is by hourly fee and is provided on a case-by-case basis.
