Invincible
There's a part of growing up that no one ever wants to go through
It's the part where you get hurt and you don't know what to do
But if you want to grow up, you must be willing to pay the price
Pain is a proficient teacher; you never make the same mistake twice

You must accept the consequences of what you do and what you say
No one will be there to take care of you; you don't have time to play
Your friends won't always be there, what they told you was all lies
If you think you can always count on them, you're in for a surprise

The real world isn't out there, it's already right beneath your feet
You'd better get things under control if you want to be able to compete
You're young and you're invincible, or so you've always thought
But you noticed that things don't always turn out the way you think they ought

Those who deserve to win will lose and those who should lose will win
The virtuous will be punished by those who have committed the sin
Life isn't fair, it never has been, and it certainly never will be
The harder you look for something, the more difficult it is to see

There's something you need to learn quickly or you'll end up being eaten alive
You can only count on yourself if you want to be sure that you survive
Don't expect anyone to help you out, most likely they won't be there
You're young and you're invincible, but you're the only one who cares

Don't be surprised when you find yourself being stabbed in the back with knives
The scariest part about all of this is: these are the best days of our lives.
