| Beyond the Horizon |
| The burden is heavy as I walk on alone The road before me is a path yet unknown I wonder if there might be another way I'm unwilling to continue but unable to stay Something is calling without making a sound Beyond the horizon, something new to be found The road filled with hope, but anguish just the same I know I cannot go back the way that I came I cannot return to the place I was last Because all that's behind me is in the past I walk through the present but the future is there Beyond the horizon, if only I dare The burden I carry is the life that I live Filled only with anger, I must learn to forgive Hurt a little, cry a little, learn, then move on Grow a little more with the coming of dawn Man is not perfect, he is bursting with flaws Beyond the horizon, a world full of awe The sun setting now is the same that will rise From out of the darkness, ascend to the skies Pursuing the sun, I will follow its course Escape from the darkness with undeniable force As long as I walk without losing my nerve Beyond the horizon is the life I deserve |
