This work is part of an ongoing audiovisual exploration that aims to remove listening and viewing experiences from their traditional passive/receptive context by placing them in unusual or unexpected environments, these are conducted with little or no prior publicity so as to make their discovery a moment of wonder for the viewer, in the words of one viewer ' a rare discovery to stumble across'.
Rarely consisting of any pre-decided narrative form besides the juxtaposition of disparate found elements, a strategy which has proven itself throughout art history to be rich and fertile grounds for viewer imagination, these projections are formally about texture and projected light.
Contextually they are situated amongst a vast array of moving image based experimentation from the film experiments of Man Ray, thru Nam June Paik's 'Zen for Film' works and through to today with networked digital video work such as Lalila, and vj oriented work such The Light Surgeons and Cold Cut.
