Breaking News 2-4-04 We regret to inform you that Parthenon has broken up. The band has claimed that there have been musical differences between the three of us. The band will reconviene at a later date, but for now, they intend to hone their skills as players of their instruments, work on side projects and other such things. We apologize to all who enjoyed our music, but for now, keep on keepin' on, and maybe we'll see you at our reunion show. Take care of yourself and somebody else. -Parthenon The Past.... 1-27-04 Hello there. Recent news is that Parthenon had it's last practice ever in Angelo's old bedroom before he moves. I guess it was sentimental, I don't know; Jacob and I realized that after about an hour after we got home, haha. In other news, the band's going to start recording on the days of February 6th and 7th (hopefully), gonna try and push for six songs recorded, but realistically it's probably only going to be four. We'll most likely post My Only Friend and Thieves up on our Soundclick page, which is currently empty. The other songs will be stockpiled away for an album, which we'll have out when we write some more songs. Hopefully we'll throw some rhythm guitar in there since I've been learning to play a little. Got a decent amount of chords under my belt, so we might try to be unique and have some dual guitar/drums songs. That's all for now. Later. -Randy 01-16-04 Ahoy hoy there. But Kotarba of My Favorite Illness informs me there shall be another show at Jared's house between then and February 27th, which is a Senior Center show at Bond Park which may feature Parthenon if those guys at Further Falling decide to put us in the show. I have no idea when recording will start, but we need a couple practices first. But Angelo's also in a musical at school and has practice fo' eva eva. Damn him and his extracurricular activities; Jacob and I have no lives (well, I have the girlfriend, Jacob has his guitars) so we can practice pretty much anytime we want. Oh well. Still deciding on a name for an album, leave any you think of in the guestbook. I'm off. Later. -Randy 01-12-04 Well the news as of now is as follow. The members of Parthenon are now all dead....Not. Don't be so gullible bitch. No we're very much alive. And here is the news. Parthenon didn't practice last week due to the adverse weather and everyones general not wanting to go out in the snow. We can't practice this week because Randy is going to the beach with his woman. So as you can see Parthenon has a very unstable practice schedule. But nothing is stopping us. As soon as we get a few good practices in to solidfy our songs, we're going to begin recording with help from Matt Kotarba of My Favorite Illness. We plan to put three songs on the internet, each song chosen by a memeber of Parthenon. The rest of the songs we record we'll stock pile til we get enough ready to realease a CD. Now I know I said that before but I'm repeating it for the sake of all you young people with low attention span (take your ritalin damn it!!). Anyway I feel bored so I'm going to listen to some music and experience a death....of sleep (your all still so gullible). Parthenon got back to practicing on New Years day, right after Jacob got back from Texas. Jacob and Randy both got new amps. They are really awesome. The rehersals have been very successful. We've posted the results of those practices in the "words" page. We are planning on recording a small batch of songs to post on the interenet.
