Charles Darwin
    Charles Darwin was born on febrary 12th, 1809 on Shrewsbury England. His father, Robert Darwin was a physician. Charle's grand fater was also an important figure; Erasmus Darwin was a poet philosopher and naturalist. His mother, Susannah Wedgwood, died when he was eight years old.
    Darwin's results on the voyage became the basis of his famous book, "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection" published in 1859. This book created a tremendous controversy. Darwin outlined his theory of evolution, challeging the religious belief about the creation of life in the earth.
    Darwin left Shresbury at the age of sixteen. He decided to study medicine at Edinburgh University. After his studies in Edinburg Darwin eventually went to Cambridge University to prepare to become a clergyman in the Church of England. After receiving his degree, Darwin accepted an invitation to work as an unpaid naturalist on the H.M.S Beagle, which led him on a five-year scientific expedition to the Pacific coast of South America on 31 December, 1831.
    Darwin continued with his biological researhes throughout his existence. He lived with his family on Downe, fifteen miles from London. Darwin was attacked by panic disorders and Chagas on his last days, this diseases were contracted during his travels to South America. He finally died on 19 April, 1882, and lies buried in Westminster Abbey.
