Bound by time

Bound by time, I find myself at a loss

adrift in space, where no stone gathers moss

Where the moon shines yet has not light

as stars gather in complexity and fright

Challenged by the moment to live

struggling for the freedom others give

Weighed down by defeat, I am lost

cast away into the distance to pay the cost

If the darkness reigns, does no one care

I am riddled with fear, at what others dare

Oppressed by blackness that surrounds

grasping for hope in common grounds

Looking back in perplexity, striving to be what I can be

yet bound by time, I once more find that nothing is ever free

The Crystal ball of life

Whilst gazing into the crystal ball of life

I seek to discover why it has such strife

What is it that makes the world go around

will its secret knowledge one day be found

On gossamer wings its amazingly easy to fly

and watch the world on its journey in the sky

Perhaps there is some magic spell that can heal

all the pain and sorrow, earth's inhabitants feel

Can the truth be discovered if one really looks

will the answer be found written down in books

Is it possible if one gazes long enough one sees

What it is that will bring people to their knees

If we all had a crystal ball to see and wings to fly

we could hover and watch as the world spins on by

Then maybe one day we would begin to really see

that this earth doesn't belong only to you and me
