There are 13 "months" recognized by the humans of Maraghentium, with each lasting 22 days. Each day is ruled by one of the Elder Gods. The year is then rounded out with a winter of approximately 80 days, divided into three longer months of varying days called Firstwinter, Midwinter, and Endwinter. The 13 Months 1 Niyusha 2 Jahangir 3 Barsam 4 Shamil 5 Mahram 6 Zhakfar 7 Afrang 8 Utabar 9 Parshand 10 Javid 11 Vashta 12 Sattareh 13 Ghodrat Each 11 day week has the following days: 1 Moonday 2 Leastday 3 Eyesday 4 Highday 5 Feastday Traditional day of rest and relaxation. 6 Midweek 7 Norsday 8 Weepsday Traditional day for funerals. 9 Shieldsday Traditional day for militia/weapons training. 10 Sunday Traditional day of rest and relaxation, market day. 11 Endweek There are two such weeks in a month. The order of the gods Ascension and Declension are determined by the places of the stars and movements of the earth and ley lines, and thus are not the same from month to month. Similarly, there are no high days for the Elder Gods during the winter, this time being the province of the Demon Gods and the Lesser Pantheons.
