It All Started with a Oral History Report, a Dude Named Rufus, a Phone Booth, and an Excellent Adventure Through Time!
From San Dimas, California, a miracle happened that would save the future as we someday will know. Two teenagers, Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted "Theodore" Logan, were nothing more than best friends who wanted to be famous rock stars known as the Wyld Stallyns one day and hopefully would meet their legendary icon Eddie Van Halen. But reality ended up kicking them hard in the butt: they were flunking Mr. Ryan's History class! In order for them to pass, they would have to get an A on the oral report in front of their class the following weekend. In addition, Deputy Logan, Ted's father, heard the news and was thinking about sending his son to Oats Military Academy in Alaska if he failed the oral report. If he did, that would most definitely mean no band! |

| The research wasn't looking too good for Bill & Ted. They were not even halfway on their progress. Missy, Bill's hot stepmom (who was only a few years older than the boys), was a distraction at the Preston residence, and after being kicked out of Bill's room by Mr. Preston, the two teens went to the Circle K to finish their report. They asked various people for help, but no one knew the answer to "When did the Monguls rule China?" Desperate and bummed out, they decided to give up. That was, of course, until a strange thing happened at the Circle K. |

A phone booth came out of the sky and landed right in front of them, and the "driver," a mysterious man from the future named Rufus, was giving them an opportunity that could help them with their report. Bill & Ted didn't believe what happened at that moment, but then another phone booth came down, and two other people joined in on the conversation. In fact, those other two people were Bill & Ted themselves! They explained that they could travel through time in a phone booth thanks to the help of Rufus. When the doubles had to go back to their oral report, Rufus gave them an example to start off on the right foot, but he said that they had to do the whole project on their own. Leaving them with their own phone booth, Bill & Ted began to start a most excellent adventure through time. |

| Along the way, Bill & Ted picked up several different historical figures like the "short, dead dude" Napoleon (they somehow brought him with them through the Circuits of Time when Rufus took them to a French war and left Ted's brother Deacon to watch over him), Billy the Kid, and Socrates (sorry, So-crates). They tried to find someone from Medieval England, but they came up shorthanded. However, they found the love of their lives: the princesses Elizabeth and Joanna, but they already were to be wed by two royal ugly dudes, and their father, Henry II, had Bill & Ted be put to death. Luckily, Billy and So-crates disguished themselves as the executioners and the four heroes got out of England fast. They accidentally stumbled into the future where Rufus lived, but because it was a history report, not a future report, they had to go back into the past once more. |

Ted, this is a historical report, not a babe report. But dude, those are historical babes! |

For extra credit, Bill & Ted decided to round up some more historical figures like Beethoven, Ghengis Khan, Sigmund Freud, Joan of Arc, and Abraham Lincoln. The trip back home was a little rocky, but once they reached present-day San Dimas, the world was not ready them. Napoleon was ditched at the bowling alley and was found spending some time at the Waterlube. The other historical figures caused chaos at the mall and were placed behind bars by Ted's dad. Bill & Ted couldn't bail them out because they didn't have Deputy Logan's keys (Ted lost them days ago), but after playing a time travel game, they found the keys, and they only had a matter of minutes before they had to give their oral presentation. |

Their oral report turned out to be excellent compared to other students'. They made whole thing look like a rock concert tied in with a convocation. Lights, music, everything! Deputy Logan, Missy, and even Mr. Ryan were impressed. In the end, when all the historical figures were sent back home, Bill & Ted received several surprises: an A for their oral report, a visit from Rufus during their jam session at the Prestons', the princess babes, and two new guitars. The future was saved, and the music of Wyld Stallyns could now set the foundation of peace. Of course, it would have been better if Bill & Ted knew how to play their guitars! |
