Sweetheart Courts have their own meetings, which are designed to be productive and interesting. They meet on the same night as the DeMolay Chapter in a room away from the DeMolay Chapter meeting room, but, in the same building. Sweetheart Courts have three core officers: President, Secretary, and, Chaplain. At the discretion of the Sweetheart Court Advisor, the Sweetheart Court President may appoint additional officers and committees to assist in the work of the Sweetheart Court.
A female Advisor, referred to as the Sweetheart Court Advisor, who is an adult member of the sponsoring DeMolay Advisory Council, is present at all Sweetheart Court meetings and functions, and has overall responsibility for the Court. The role of the Sweetheart Court Advisor is much like the Chapter Advisor for the Sweetheart Court.
The term of office are six months and run concurrent with the DeMolay Chapter. During each term, the Sweetheart Court President should plan at least one "Fun Activity" as well as a "campaign" to help the DeMolay Chapter with membership recruitment. This can be anything that the Sweetheart Court President wants, but must be approved by the Sweetheart Court Advisor.
Sweetheart Court meetings are loosely structured and offer no form of ritualistic teaching. It is highly recommended, though, that young ladies be referred to the excellent opportunities offered in DeMolay's sister organizations, the International Order of Job's Daughters, and, International Order of Rainbow for Girls.
