We all have past heros that we lost. I have decided to add this page in memory of partners that i have lost. I lost that once in a lifetime horse this spring after 18 years together. I know i will always lay thanks for if it wasnt for him i wouldnt have done half the things i have. I hope that looking at mine will make you take a look back into your own past, god knows we dont do that enough. |

Feather was bought in colorado for my mother when she was 13. He did not look like her dream jumper to start but his heart made up for it. She trained him and cleared 5 feet on him. She also showed in in the local gymkahnas and ran stock up the rocky mountians on him. He then retired to being my first show horse. Now heres a picture for you... he was 16 2" looked like a draft and i was very small for my age, i started barrel "racing" him when i was 6! No one knew my name but you asked anyone about the huge horse with the tiny girl and they knew who you were talking about! Feather was a "do it all" horse and never let us down. He is an icon in our family and will stay that way. |

| Sierra was bought for me right after my 10th birthday. He was the first horse i bought with my money. He came home by accident when my mom picked up a horse for a boarder and he went nuts. Well he never did get over his love for his women, he cleared a 4 strand fence at 26 yrs to get to his girlfriend! He was the perfect kids horse. in 18 yrs he was only lame once and recovered fully. always there and always willing. I look back now on what we did together and anyone of them would have killed any other horse i owned! He was tougher than nails and could pull more than his weight for dragging jumps out of the pond to trucks stuck on ice. He has many high points to his credit that are all his (i didnt know a thing). But more than that he was the best i ever seen. We put him down this spring at 36 yrs old, even then he was filled with more heart than i have ever seen. He earned his place in our hearts forever, i hope that i can find another like him. |

Louetta was bought as a 2yr old by Bob. He owned her and raced her along with running her in barrels for a few years until she busted up her knee on the track. Bob had her fired and gave her 10 years off having babies and using her in the mounted patrol. After he married my mom he brought her home to our place and i started riding her in pleasure. (she has the best canter ive ever ridden). I rode her hard and fast. We went to every championship at the time and did well. She was quick on her feet and a blast to ride. She was also a classic loony in the ring. I learned more about dealing with mental problems with her than i thought possable but it has paid off for me since! Her knee finally went after 3 years back on the first barrel at champshow. 3 weeks later i broke our arena record in barrels and she was never sound again. She was a hell of a horse in her own right and i miss her.
