SHALLOW GRAVE?

Gravedigger Dancefloor

tagline: "the sequel you couldn't imagine"

synopsis: Alex Law (Ewan McGregor) Has managed to survive the nearly  fatal blow, but his carefully planned out concealment of the money went astray when paramedics had to remove him from the floorboards.  With his job lost to his crimminal reputation and recent murderous affairs, Law has no place to turn.  To make ends meet and pay for his increasing addiction to painkillers, Law decides to sell his body to the night, falling head-first into the world of sex, drugs, and draqueens.  His past follows him as he rises to the top of the underground, the nickname "Gravedigger" a reminder of what once was. Reality begins to slip more and more for Law as he transcends into a fog of drugs and depression, but from the help of Magnificent Madame, (Sean Connery) a seasoned queen of the circut, he can begin to find true identity in the tangled up lies that have disfigured his life.  Yet, will Juliet (Kerry Fox) halt happiness with an evil plot of revenge against Law?  Can peace be restored?

Through a series of dark comedic interludes, song, dance, and crossdressers, Gravedigger Dancefloor is simply the tale of a man running from his past, only to find that the past will most defintely not miss a beat!

Rating: R for drug use, sexuality, nudity

Likely Critic's Grade: C+
Why so high? no one can resist a drag queen movie.  Especially when they're scottish.   And the whole prostitute with a heart of gold thing, after all, it worked for Pretty Woman!

Well, as Roy Orbison would say "it's over, it's over, it's over.....it's OVER!!"  The movie's done, and whether you've seen it once or a million times, it's still a depressing moment in history.  The characters you saw, the places you went, the things you did (of course from the safety and utter patheticness of your home or theater) are over.  And even if you view it a thousand more times, it will always be the same way.  That is, of course, unless the director decides to re-release it "new and improved" ( *cough* E.T. *cough cough*).
Yet.....
what if it wasn't over?  Where would those characters go if someone hadn't so conviently pulled the credits on their life?
Well....what ever happened?
Sequels, baby, sequels....
